I am. They start tomorrow. Haven't studied at all. My answers will consist of some bullshit about "today's economy", and awkward drawings of various farm animals.

Not that I'm proud of it. Just deciding to take it on the chin rather than being all like "Oh goodness! I'm going to fail some tests! My mom's gonna be so mad!"
 
I don't understand shit like this. How fucking hard is it to just study? You're sitting around on NS posting about how you haven't studied at all for your final tomorrow, when you could easily be reading a fucking textbook and bettering your chances of doing well/not failing.
 
You're going to fail your classes and you won't be able to get into college. While all your friends go off to have fun and party in college, you're going to be stuck at home working in some fast food joint living with your parents. There'll be nobody your own age to be friends with so you'll have to get chummy with the creepy 28 year-old meth addict flipping burgers. One day, when you're whacked out from hitting the meth pipe with him, he'll slip out of his pants and start to slowly slap your face with his penis. This will quickly escalate to more and more vile things as he realizes you're completely unconscious.

The next day you will be browsing the internet on your parent's computer when you come across the video he made of your guys' adventures. To your dismay, the video has already gone viral with over a million hits. You'll start to get phone calls from many of your friends away at college: "Dude, what the fuck, was that you?" Horrified by this embarrassment, you run to a nearby bridge. As you stare past the rope tying a cinder block to your leg and into the cold dark water of the river below, you'll think to yourself: "I should have done better on those finals."

And then, you'll jump.

don't worry, man. you'll learn soon enough that "taking it on the chin" doesn't make it any better, or you any cooler, than the alternative, whatever that is. and you'll also realize that caring about your parents' opinions doesn't make you a pussy.
 
Dear Obviously High School kid,

Even though most colleges won't have your grades (yet, if you're a senior) does not mean they will be okay if you get less than a C in a class. In fact, most schools expect you to continue your HS GPA through your Senior year and will rescind your admission if you don't.

If you're not a senior then you are stupid for gambling with your future.
 
As someone who was once in your position, I was a HORRIBLE high school student. Didn't try, give a shit at all about grades, or anything for that matter. I had great friends, was popular, etc but just didnt care about college almost didnt go. Went to a shitty school my first year, come home went to CC, now in a really good school doing finance and economics with a 3.4 and have some nice job prospects. Turn your shit around now you don't have many chances left to do it before its to late. Trust me

OP I barely paid attention in grade 10 history this year unfortunately, luckily I have friends that are willing to help me study so I suggest you study hard tonight, sleep well, eat a nice breakfast and give er your best instead of half assing it.

Its harder to fail than it is to get an A. Just study your ass off, you can do it, jut don't check facebook every 5 minutes. In fact, if you don't need the computer to study, turn it off.

Put on some solid background music that's mellow, smoke a bowl, and get down to studying. Its like running. Get lost, write down what you read as key info, fill out a study guide if they gave one, and try to pull off a C on the final.

SO much better than failing man. Time to grow up.

OP I would definitely recommend that you go hit the books right now. It will pay off and you will be happy that you at least gave it a good effort. Worst case scenario, if you study, you get a 75 and it'll drop your semester grade a couple points. Just go study and it will pay off. If NS is a big distraction, you could get a requested ban for a week.
 
Pretty bummed that I didn't so hot on math and science got d's :/ got a's on the rest thoigh so pretty stoked on that!
 
I have two exams this semester. I'm not too worried about either of them. I have physics, bio, and precalc exams in june though...

I have never failed a single exam, even when I was fucked up on morphine in college. It's really not hard to pass high school. Read your text book once and you'll be sweet. Failing isn't cool.
 
I got a 53 on my grade 12 English exam over the summer because I used 2 out of the 3 hours to play polar golf on my laptop. It really didn't matter though because i still passed the course with an 80 but it was funny.
 
Probably the same reason I'm up at 4 in the morning on NS when I am supposed to be doing my physics summative, I am at the point where anything but the work sounds good. I know for me I find it next to impossible to start my work but as soon as I get going I'm fine, it's just getting to it that is hard. It might because of diagnosed ADHD which the doc said she hasn't seen anybody have it worse than me but really I don't know if I believe in ADHD at all, But I know there are others out there who have the same problems regarding work as me. This post may not make sense and I might be rambling a lot but i'll just attribute that to the fact I have been awake for the past 40+ hours and see no sleep in sight.
