Whos going to Boulder Next year?

might be transferring there from Utah after next year. It was my first choice school, but after skiing here in Utah last year i just couldnt bring myself away from the wasatch. Boulder is fucking legit though, everything about it.
 
i'm pretty sure you just described almost every college/university^

boulder was nothing compared to the east coast schools i've been to...it was a lot different
 
haha yea i agree with evan........boulder is not a ski school. its a school for all the kids that just wanna get high/drunk all the time more than they do skiing. Come to utah son, utah.

prime example, i skiied all day at breck saturday hammered.
 
so much boulder hate out there haha, sure I live an hour and a half from skiing, but hey I don't have to live in utah.

I'll be a senior next year, fridays off so early season will be fun for once.
 
whats wrong with utah? the only thing different about the state is the beer, and you have to be 19 to buy tobacco. but most poeple move to a "ski" college to maybe, umm idk, SKI tobacco and beer should be the last priority on choosing a school
 
The school is fucking huge. Of course their are gonna be douchebag frat guys and spoiled obnoxious cali girls, but there are a lot of legit kids as well. It's all about who you surround yourself with. And I couldn't live anywhere with only 3.2 beer. I would make the roadtrip to colorado just to stock up on real beer every few weeks.
 
I hate Boulder....its cool to party there. its just different type of poeple out there...there like there own country....
 
There is so many different types of people here though, kinda why I like it, you can surround yourself with pretty much any kind of person you like. Plus its just a cool town in particular, and jibij is here, YAY JIBIJ!
 
it may be important to note that it ranks very high on the list of public universities in north america. and as it requires a good deal of money to ski, its pretty important to go to a good college and earn a degree that will get you a nice paycheck so you can keep up your skiing habit.

so wherever you go, i think it's a pretty good situation overall if you can get a degree and ski when you like to, even if it is a drive. hating on other colleges is the most obnoxious thing to read ever, so let's just stop doing it in this thread.
 
im gonna be a sophmore. its a super fun school, but coming from the PNW, the terrain and amt of pow is really lacking int he front range. crested butte is a different story... but the parks are insane. just find peopel who love riding as much as you do, and get days off during the week. it is a really good school, and you can ski alot despite the drive, which is only bad certain days. shit, i have 95 days riding and a 3.6 gpa with class only three days, cant get much better
 
i'm having the best time of my life in boulder, skiing a ton, partying a ton, meeting a shitload of amazing people and just having an all around great time. fuck all the haters
 
I was decideing between utah and boulder and I decided boulder cause I didnt really wanna deal with religous people all the time. I mean I have nothing against it but its just Im not religous and its annoying when others try to keep changing your views. and i know everyone isnt religous but there is that prescence there that i felt when i visited Utah
 
Thats kinda a big generalization there cause i have met some cool mormons and they are nice people but its annoying when somone try's to calm you down by reading scriptures and shit to you. That gets me more pissed actually.
 
yeah it is, im not religous so why would i want to be around lot of religion? If you dont like hippy's i guess then dont go to boulder.
 
False. The only thing the mormon religion has done is making a good amount of hot girls mormon and it just takes a little bit to get into the swing of real college life.

But thats cool, you can go to boulder, party, drink real beer (utah beer is tolerable), and ski equally as good park and less actually good skiing. More pow at alta for me.

And joe, mormons are not annoying. I know a good amount of them, they are actually really good people and make salt lake probably the safest and cleanest city in the US. Just because they believe in something else doesn't mean they are annoying.
 
Yeah thats all true but another thing about Utah is that its known as a commuter campus so i dont feel like i would get the same experience with like meeting people as I would at boulder.

And the skiing in Utah is the best im not gonna lie ive been there as many times as i have been to colorado and the skiing there is the best. I know if i was maybe trying to be pro or something i would definately go to Utah.
 
I heard that too, but its definitely not. Freshman are all over campus all the time. I think people just say its a commuter campus because like EVERYONE moves off after sophomore year because honestly if more people lived on campus, freshman wouldn't even get dorms. There are definitely ALOT of people on campus all the time.
 
theres a lot of religion everywhere you go..whether you let it affect you or not is up to you..

if they try to push their views on you, give em hell. they wont come back.

as far as the 3.2 beer goes you can still get "real" beer at state liquor stores, so its not really a big deal.

and as far as the education level..utah has many departments that would trump boulders, and vice versa. utah's med school is rated better than Brown Universities and right up there with Dartmouth-not much to be ashamed of..

but i guess it just comes down to where your priorities are at.

partying isnt my #1 priority, so why not go to a place with 3.2 beer and shitloads of mormoms? i like my chinese and mexican food on every block too btw.
 
utah blows boulder at of the water... 20 min from PC and alta means better skiing

Im pretty sure girls at boulder are waaayyyyy hottter than in Utah and actually put out. and why are hippy's bad people? They never hurt anyone? an yes ill give you the dorms they are pretty sick at utah.

i never said they werent hotter at boulder... but do you think ur ganna be baggin 10s... i think not.. the majority of girls at utah are fucking hot.. therefore we will be banging 8.5s and ull be stuck with the girls that the atheletes and pro skiers dont want. have fun suckin on hairy twat.....hippys smell
