MRG has been hurting horribly for snow this year even after last weekend's big storm. They're more in line with the storm coming tonight through Friday morning, but there's not a lot of base to play with and the storm may only drop 8" while you're there.
Jay isn't predicted to get as much from this storm as MRG, but they got +50" since last Thursday including a healthy chunk Monday into Tuesday. However, knowing the way Jay operates, they'll most likely get maybe only 2-3" less than MRG.
The nicest part about Jay has been it's almost all tourists. Most of them have no idea where to go except for the more popular routes. I skied knee to waist deep, untracked lines Saturday am through Sunday pm, including untracked lines at 3 pm Sunday on Big Jay.
If you need validation for what I'm saying, I was at Jay Saturday and Sunday and had a friend who skied MRG Saturday and Jay Sunday.
