I'm heading over there this weekend, just wondering who's down there, whats the set up like, fun stuff to do? Pretty stoked but don't really have anyone to ski with because I'm just crashing with some family friends who don't ski regularly so PM me or comment if you wanna meet up or something.

Thanks everyone

setup is hike only, but they have a jump..

for rails they have been changing them up every couple days, so by this weekend they will probably be different.

Ill be shredding tomorrow, fri, and sat. not sure what i'll be wearing but i got first gen halo's and gold lensed eg2s.

Sounds good man ill be there friday and saturday probably if I see you I'll give you a shoutout. Also if anyone wants to get shots I may bring my camera if anyones interested

Why would anyone bother with hike only jumps at a place that charges 80 bills a day.

I'd demand a fucking lifty carry me up before I hiked at a major resort just to hit jumps. I mean its one thing to hike to ski fresh powder in a bowl. But to hit jumps and rails at a resort with chairlifts? WTF!

because 90% of the kids in the park have a college season pass and the other 10% have a youth season pass. Theres no money in catering for the park rats. Loons more worried about getting the rich gapers more open terrain.

yaooo!! i'll be there friday saturday for sure! i'll be skiing on blends and wearing electric sunglasses. give me a shout for sure! always stoked to see more skiers at loon. and yeah im sure by the weekend the setup will be better than it has been

wellllll they charge 40 early season?

and theres 1 small jump and 6 rails no one in their right mind would hike jumps lol unless there was no lift service and a LEGIT jump.

and the rails are on the opposite side of the mtn that will probably be open this weekend so lift service isnt far away.

that is probably to separate us mean park kids from the nice gapers

Patriots hat. If you see it then you have successfully spotted wild Granite_State in its natural habitat. Be on the lookout.

OK decent explanation.

I just sort of don't get how people can accept being forced to hike somewhere they spend big money to get carried up the mountain on a chairlift. College passes are a lot of money to a college kid ditto youth ones unless they come from a seriously wealthy family.

Seems fucking un-American that a mountain can ethically open a terrain park and make the people who want to use it fucking walk up the hill.

I'd be rioting and breaking shit and telling them to run a chair.

I am not going to hate on Loon b/c the mountains around it really aren't that much better (which is the reason it gets away with dooshyness and is crammed) but Ive always remembered it having a sick park. So it just comes across as them taking liberties making people hike for it.

^ they do have a sick park but they dont have to full thing done until mid january or so.

typically they start with this little hike thing for the first few weeks. Then they'll set up a rails only park on some random trail that not usually a park. Then they'll start up with the real park after that.
