Who's around the Kootenays?

Anyone been around Kootenay Pass/WH20 area lately? Working in No. Idaho April 26th and was wondering how the upper Elv. holds snow that late. Should I pack touring gear or hiking boots..

April 26th? Probably neither. We have had good snow into late April/early May before, but it's rare. There's still a month, so it's possible, but this winter has left us with a low snowpack, and anything below 1800M isn't really filled in. Mountain biking will be pretty good come late April. There will be snow up high still, but it most likely won't be good skiing.

Alright, thanks for the beta. I figured so much but it looked a lot better than Schweitzer and wouldn't mind a visit to Nelson again.
