interesting discussion in Latin today, i would rank em

Jesus

Alexander the Great

Caesar

George Washington

Buddha

Ovid

other names that came up were gandhi, hitler, FDR, etc etc

scrath ovid that only came up cuz of latin class and toss in obama everyone in the world knos who that is

MLK came up a lot but i really hate that as an answer.... on a world scale, how could you not put up jesus and put up sitting bull or MLK? yes, mlk was great for black rights, but sooner or later america would wake up and realize that blacks were being treated like shit. He also was predominantly doin it for african AMERICANS, not the entire african race

I realize this, but the man didn't specify world... just ever. I would say my list, for me, I can recognize them pretty easily and are very easily identified. I'm just being a douchebag now though.

shit i knew i was missing someone. i was seriously thinking of an important clown but couldnt remember who it was

thats a damn good question

i really cant think of anyone that hasnt already been mentioned

sean connery?

possibly one of the other bonds

they all are recognizable, but not THE most

can you justify napoleon? im not the most expert person in french history, but i know that napoleon's empire was for a short time. i forget most of what i learned about him, but what did he do to alter the course of history?

also, from now on please state why you put the person on the list

Fuck, who was the first black president of South Africa? Oh yeah, Nelson Mandela. Pretty sure he is recognized all over the world.

OK, SORRY FOR BAD WORDING, BUT THE QUESTION IS, WHO IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON EVER IN HISTORY? THE PERSON MUST BE IDENTIFIABLE (you can not put up "the guy that invented the wheel!")

NOT THE MOST IDENTIFIABLE PERSON, THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON

Napoleon altered the course of American history. Had he not needed money for his war, he wouldn't have sold the louisiana area for such a bargain. America probably would have acquired this land anyways but who knows if itt would have been such an easy process.
