Who still has a flip phone?

I hear about all these people with smart phones (basically mini computers) and they break all the time and the battery dies in less than a day. What kind of idiots buy into this communist crap? Here's to all the smart people who have bombproof flip phones that can last a week on a single charge and nothing short of a nuclear missile will take it out of commission!!!

I really have to say though that sometimes I wish I had a flip phone. I had a cheap Motorola a few years back and it was absolutly indistructable. I once dropped it out in the snow while fishing when the temp was about -35F and 2 days later when I found it the thing was still functioning and fully charged. My Iphone shuts off after 5 minutes of being outside.

I have a smartphone. I went out without it last night and it was the weirdest feeling ever. I hate the fact that I rely on it so hard but I'm not gonna get rid of it.

My old flip phone back in the day went through 2 wash / dry cycles and still came out working. Thing was an absolute tank.

That being said I love my iphone and would never go back to the stone age of flip phones. They really do need to work on battery life though. The iphone is BS how you can't replace a battery

Yeah or you could not be incompetent and take care of your shit and your smartphone will last just as long and you can do 100x more on it

And also pay $100+ a month to use a smaller version of a computer for no reason at all. That is until the touch screen fails, or the battery fails because its all China made pieces of crap.

Been going phoneless for 6 months now. Feels nice not to be attached to it. Probably going to get a flip phone soon though.

Being phone-less is so dope, modern day technology is polluting our lives

Seeing as my laptop is rarely with me, I'm willing to shell out some cash for a smart phone. I didn't have one up until last year, and even if you don't use it for social media there are so many apps that are tremendously convenient. I mean they certainly aren't necessary by any means but the convenience factor is worth it to me.

Also, like I said, if you take care of it they will last a long time. They rarely just stop working. You have to drop it and crack the screen, or get water damage. Not to mention nearly every new phone is a smartphone. I have an LG Vortex that came out in 2010 and it still holds a charge, touchscreen works, still a great functioning device. I feel like when you're saying "smartphone" you're really just saying "iPhone"

LJ has a flip phone that's duct taped together and only receives texts and calls about 25% of the time but the thing won't die and the battery does last for weeks. It's ridiculous.

There's no cure for being a broke bitch either

"I don't spend money like an idiot on a fancy HAND HELD TELEPHONE, therefor I must be poor."

Great logic there, frand.
