It's alright everybody knows that the ipod mini was for girls, and yeah your Dad was in the right, hit clips were pretty shit but man those commercials made them look like the coolest thing ever.
 
lol maybe you are right. I had this shit in 9th grade. carried it in my pocket and everything! it was bigger than an cd player haha. i think it was 8gigs? and if I recall it was the first hard drive mp3 player. I think it came out in 2000 or so?

I also had a red sony cd player with big straps that literally clipped to the cd player, and had the behind the head headphones.
 
I had this one. Mandy stole it from me in the 6th grade while I was taking a test. Stupid bitch.
 
I had one of those but it was see-through orange and you could see the disc spin, it was the mother fucking shit.
 
Hahah I had one of those, I remember in like 5th grade I got an anti-skip cd player with speakers built into it... It was THE SHIT
 
this exactly i wanted one soo bad i remember they costing like 25 dollars to for a little peace of shit that goes on one ear and plays 30 seconds of music and after i got it i broke it open to see whats inside after 2 days mine looked like this

also i had soo many airhogs those where the shit, not the fancy ass ones that have cameras and shoot missiles, but the ones that break after the first time using them.

and of coarse those fake kids laptops that dont really do anything but spelling games, i thought i was the shit when i would waly round with one of these, it lasted me about a month before i smashed it open with a hammer and tried to build a robot by glueing together the remenents of circut boards and plastic peaces.

almost identical thing happened with me but it was something else other than hitclips that i wanted originally.
 
minidisk was the shit, i went looking for mine after i saw this, so many jams on that thing haha, and then just like you all my friends got ipod minis
 
sounds about right. I had this and like 20 games, then the thing stopped working, i was straight depressed. I also had the original pong, but that also stopped working

Fuck yeah! I still have mine and it still works. I played that thing so much, then I got a Playstation for christmas the first year they came out and packed it away.

I also remember I used to ride my bike into town to skateboard and I would listen to my cd player. and I had wear a backback just so I could put the diskman in it haha. It would skip like a bastard. I was so psyched when i got my first anti skip one.

 
I was thinking about this the other day at work, brings back such good memories of shitty music quality
