I think this hole thing about no-poles has ruined newschoolers! Who cares about poles! IF you are going to ski without them keep it to your self people! there are more important things to talk about!

i think its funny that it all started when schiller couldnt find a pair of poles to ski with so he took a few runs without them.... then everybody started it haha

^yeah but i tried skiing without poles and found it easier, and you can move better and surpisingly have more balance cause you have more freedom with range of motion. its one less thing to think about really, which allows more thought process for other things. like air sex.

haha you just started a no poles thread... or a thread about no poles threads...

but I was telling my friend about no poles the other day, and she said back when she skied she hated poles, apparently she didn't even use them racing because she thought they got in the way.

maybe she was just kidding though.

Personally I love poles (and skis), having been a snowboarder getting stuck on flats..

uh... racing without poles would be veryyy hard haha.

i guess for airsex like snowbunny said, no poles might just be the answer, but for anything else i'd say it looks stupid. I think i have more balance with poles, and if you dont use poles than you havent really learned to ski correctly (or just choose not too). you use them to turn.

same. i learnt without poles, i think its standard for most 3 yr old ski school kids to have no poles, then i got into private lessons, and they were used as turning points or stuff that i had to either pick up off the ground during turns or other shit like that.

i usually just leave them with the lifties now, considering i know them where i ski.

there hasnt been a no pole thread for the past like 2 months

let em do what they want, some look good and most others look horrible

when i first started skiing i never used poles, then i got snowblades and still didnt use them. but now i love them. they help a lot
