Who Is Jonny Scott?

Just watched all the SuperUnknown videos....never heard of jonny scott before. Anybody know where he's from/where he skis/how old he is, anything?

i thought his video (especially the backcountry shit - cork seven off cliff, vanular has a challenger) was incredible
 
go to the bonus of Long Story Short, and watch the bonus footage, in the third song see if you see any familiar shots????
 
this is superunknown/amateur, not theory 3, no poor boyz, not matchstick. its amateur. yes, a cork 7 off a cliff from an unsponsored, teenage (?) skier did impress me.
 
jonny is a rad kid and a good friend! He's from Crested Butte and filmed last year duing a shoot on a step up w/ Level 1 the kid is better than you think, nicest kid in the world too!
 
he's also on Orage i think, cant remember if he's got any other sponsors, but if you ever see him at your mountain give him a shout, he's a riot
 
i would love to see a kid like Jonny win, because he does it all. Park, Pipe, big mountain, jibs, you name it. Plus he is as humble as it gets and works really hard.

Super stoked to see you guys creating a thread on him, this is awesome. He deserves it and I hope he wins, rather than some kids who does nothing but rails. That isn't skiing. Jonny is.
 
it is skiing for those who aren't fortunate enough to ski the stuff featured in his video. not saying his video isn't good..it is really really good.
 
^^^dude quit your going around saying kids arent privelaged, jonny is a worker, and gets his shit done to get where he wants to get. Jonny gets to BC because he wants to, as i said earlier, alot of kids are to lazy to do what jonny does and would rather smoke there pot, and ride there high speed quads. If they want what jonny has got and done, they would do it and reach it. Jonny is just a straight hussler, and throws down in the bc. And has only been in Co for a few years, if kids want to get it, they'll earn it! Jonny kills it and deserves it!
 
I thought the skiing in his video takes more work to learn, and get to than any other vids. His skiing is definetly going in the right direction. Ski movies dont seem to be pushing for park segments, but instead a mix of BC jumps, lines and some urban, and it looks like this guy is taking his skiing in that directino.
 
i just realized something i found funny...everyone says he's working so hard to do this kind of skiing, which he is of course, but he doesn't take the time to learn to not blender on his switch stuff.

not hate, just a humorous observation. kid's real sick.
 
Yep, by him having all those pow landing shots and BC jumps is really giving him an advantage. That switch 7 into pow was sick. That big ass 180 looked so hard to stomp too, i would have bombed out lol
 
Ya Scrizz, you deserve this kid

Johnny definitely works harder than anyone i know in the BC, always super motivated, and willing to guinea anything, usually cab. And to all the talk of the blender or blind cab, who cares, Scrizz is one of the smoothest cab spinners out there, always slow and steezy. Sac was right above, Scrizz is the most humble down to earth kid too, and he is one of the funniest guys alive, definitely my favorite BC partner, he has been killing it this year, wait till you guys see his shit next year, you thought that cab 7 was impressive, just wait
 
Nope, he's actually from bozeman montana. Pretty sure he's montana born. 406 representing.
 
theory 3 has pros and semi pros. This kid is completley unknown. So yea its impressive to just see somone destory like this kid did who no one has ever heard of before.

CFS is fielding one hell of a superunknown team.... all of them could be the next superunknown if they submitted...
 
i completely agree, Jonny's and Wallisches, and Db's are the only worthy ones in my opinion! The others were'nt impressive at all, atleast to me..
 
but there are kids that live in the shit east (by that I mean Ny and further south) and the midwest where they don't have access to that kind of terrain. And it's not like they can go out west and do all that stuff because the back country is not something to be toyed with, it takes alot of knowledge to do alot of that stuff safely, not something that somebody can jump into headfirst
 
also there were only really 3 maybe 4 guys outta the 6 that were outstanding, cosco, wallish, that kid from WV and one backcountry guy. but the other two....very disappointing that these two even got classified as superunknowns because it wasnt impressive at all... even the liberty kid wasnt impressive... ooow wow i got a cool edited half segment of me crashing all over the place... his video was littered with 3's and sw 5's.. thats childsplay really. dont get me wrong doing 3's and sw 5's in the backcountry is pretty hard but not impressive enough to merit a video for superunknown... just goes to show that liberty is even more of a joke than i thought they were after Dan Chalfant told lies to a bunch a kids at random comps that he's "hook em up" for next season... what a joke.
 
well you wanna know what whether you like it or not those are the top 8 that level one chose as superunknown's and i think they are more knowledgeable than a ignorant ns fool like yourself
 
i didnt see u up on the finals list so until you can back yourself up dont talk man i thought all the superunknown vids were very impressive
 
^ reason why im not in there is because i dont own a video camera.. sorry if i dont come from 2 rich parents or even one rich parents. ive been on my own since i was 17. you try living on your own for 6 yrs and tell me if you can even afford half a video camera.
 
this is a superunknown dude dont expect every single video to be perfect or like a movie, besides wallisch cosco and db the rest are just kids that are editing and filming on theyre own, if you saw one of those edits just posted on ns as videos and not as superunknown finalists you would think they were sick
 
Get on a plane, idk if they have the drive and passion they'll get there, looked like wallish was in utah, is there not BC there? i'm taking a wild guess but i think Chads may be there? i could totally be wrong(sarcasm). the only point i'm making is if the kids have the drive to get up there they will and they'll destroy it, thats what jonny does and hence why he should win
 
just because they have a video camera that means theyre parents are rich? im sorry youve lived by yourself for 6 years it doesnt mean you have to talk shit to everybody
 
not necessarily, since i do alot with video, i'm not neccissarily impressed easily, i think alot of stuff has a good start, but not a good middle or finish, i dont expect some cinematic amazing movie, The effort does reflect the athlete in my opinion.
