Looking for a quick and hopefully powder laden trip in the coming weeks. Which region/resort has the best conditions at this moment. I'm from the MW so anything will suit me perfectly.

Cheers!

(this prolly isn't in the right forum but idgaf)

ya, jackson got a nice dose from the last storm, while utah got about 20 inches in 2 weeks.. sick

steamboat colorado could be a winner...website says 4ft in last couple days while friends say its more like 60 in since sunday depending on the aspect

PNW is the only place I've seen get consistent snow. Moved to Utah this season with hopes and dreams of having countless pow days. So far I've had one.. I guess the plus side is getting to ski PC everyday while it seems to be the worst winter ever in Ohio. Can't say I'm to disappointed

Alyeska recieved over 200 inches just this month. Resort isnt super big,has lots of good terrain though. Also lots of good back country close by.

589.7" since Nov. 1st and 677.7" since Oct.1st

We got 24 inches or so last weekend, then we got a few inches of rain, then we got like 12 or 13 more inches today. Snoqualmie is so hit or miss, I'd rather have consistent snow/compact snow, than soggy powder (rarely), and ice (most of the time).

Aleyeska is awesome, but I'd just go to Montanan and ski dry pow all day.

in colorado vail or boat. vail got 30+ inches this week. btw Massachusetts sucks right now. 58 degrees and raining.

it pisses me off sooo bad that they still havent opened gunbarrel yet liberty is under the same management and has 3 double blacks open. greedy corporate people lol

Well I imagine there was probably a good deal of wind in a storm of that size. Even so, it nearly buried a chairlift tower...

alps have a lot of snow but you have to pick out carefully to still find some mint condition pow ....

just back from obertauern austria and there is a shitload of snow but the out of bounds pow is almost always covered with a hard "harschdeckel"

Durango, Co has been crushing in the amount of snow we have gotten. Good condiions, and almost the whole mountain is covered. No bare spots.

well i came here to tell you alaska, but i also thought id tell you im getting my new skis mounted at asbco today or tomorrow hehe

Steamboat seemed to be a geograhical oddity in Colorado getting so dumped on for the last week. I heard they got 27 inches in the first round and that was like 6 days ago and its been snowing everyday since. I also heard given that place attracts alot of avg tourists that the powder stays in the trees.

Minor thread Jack here but i am going to alyeska in 3 weeks and I want to know what places to ski. I want to ski pow I won't even look at the park since that is all we have in Illinois. I'd say I'm an advanced to expert all mountain skier. Also the only skis I have are center-mounted park skis, will those do ok in powder, the waste is 87 I think, thanks

im guesing you suck at actually skiing(seeing as all you do is ski park in illinois) so i would absolutely recomend renting/demoing some pow sticks when you go up there. it will make everything 10x more enjoyable for you. If you are actually technically very good at skiing, then any skis you have will let you rip.

and the pow depends on the weather just like EVERYWHERE ELSE ON EARTH! just look around and explore.
