Who else was at Meadows opening day?

Always nice to start the season with a pow day. The park setup was sick too, 43 features set for opening is insane

Yeah man, this was technically my first powder day which was super fun to do

Just on the other side of the hill at Timberline. So much snow I was able to ride my Bubba (giant powder snowskate aka "street legal powsurf"). It was really nice cuz it needs perfect conditions, so I only get to take it out a handful of times a year.

It was big fun

I’d like to point out that meadows had over 40 features set up while Timberline had 5

stay sleeping on meadows tho

I wonder when they're going to get star open? I hope it being closed has to do with snow conditions and not a staffing shortage.

Pretty sure I heard a staff member say it’d be open by next week if conditions are good

I have to believe they will have it by this weekend. After the rush to get what they got open (they did in 2 days what they usually will do in 5) they likely needed this week to get that side of the mountain open, and get some compaction on the ridges. We were sitting borderline on what I have seen openings on in the past. Honestly they probably know they really need Star for this weekend with the crowds they are likely to see.

So...... Snobs ville. Worst vibe on the whole mtn

If that what it takes for a little more consistent fall line skiing with an actual angle, then so be it. If all i cared about was park then T-line would probably be my jam. Though curious to see what Meadows does this year with the new/old park off of HRM. I hope it's a little more than the 3 jumps they have had there on the past.

Since the fav hood resort debate naturally evolved into this thread, I'll take this time to remind everyone that Skibowl is objectively better than t line or meadows.

Sometimes. I can say some of my best times, and some of my worst times have been at Ski Bowl. A good night session during a storm cycle can be amazing. Any other time and you can keep the Snow Carny's and weekend race practices.

Bruh if it's the weekend why aren't you in the Outback tho?
