i'm jus stating my honest opinion and it is that the Beatles are a very very boring band. I jus can't seem to find why everyone thinks they are so good. They offer nothing. State your opinion!

i just seriously can't find one reason why you would listen to them other than to be tortured. They dont sing about anythign interesting, its slow but sounds like it should be fast. it just doesn' sound right

Duncan's got it right, they're the basis of most rock, Which is why they're so highly rated. It doesn't necessarily make their music 'better' than other things. But it's still good without the history behind it. check out 'Yesterday'.

maybe if you lived back in the 70's youd understand why they were so sweet... They were like a totally different style of rock when they came with there different hair styles that just blew everyone away. I just learned this in history/pop culture.

Why are the beatles good? Maybe because they tottally changed rock and roll. And obviously you aren't listening to the beatles enough. Sure, maybe twist and shout and that era isn't that great. But '67-'70 was great amazing music.

The beatles music is simply amazing.

No other band can be separated for about 30 years and still have the number 1 selling album for the year.

I doubt any band will ever come close to accomplishing what the beatles have done.

i think they didn't have the best sound, but they were so consistent, all their albums were good. thats why theyre so popular

There is no other band that has ever existed that evolved in a good way more than the Beatles. They were straigh-up pop at first, then got faster and louder, then they got trippy, and then they meshed it all together into really kickass music. Most innovative band ever.

you cant have your own opinion about such a milestone in music history. not without it not making sense. the beatles are almost fully responsible for almost every kind of music today. Without them, music wouldnt be anywhere where it is today. they created rock and roll, and from there on it branched into tonnes of various types of music. you cant just say they suck.

haha i'm not rebelling at all, i just honestly find their music extremely boring and it does nothing for me. I'm not going to pretend i like it jus because it 'paved the way' for modern music. I dont care if they built the entire industry single handedly i still cannot stand to listen to them and am very confused in why they became such and extremely popular group, besides their looks and all.

u also have to take into account that they pumped out 4-5 albums a year. of course not every song is gonna be amazing. but most of their songs were revolutionary w/ how it was written and what they did w/ the instruments. They also put meaning into their lyrics, being one of the first rock bands to do that. listen to 'while my guitar gently weeps' and tell me its not a good song. listen to the whole sgt. peppers lonely heart club band album. they came out w/ so much great music. its fine if u say that u dont like their music. but to say they suck is a gross insult and shows your blatant ignorance to the subject.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the Beatles were the first band to ever come out with a single longer than 3 minutes. Now it's irregular for a song to be less that that.

Marc, I think U2 comes pretty damn close. I personally am not a bigfan, but U2 has done / is doing a lot for the world.

listen to 90% of music lyrics nowadays and its all the same garabage trying to appeal to the teen market with meanigless-love bullshit, or anti-goverment bullshit etc. The beattles actually had good lyrics that were interesting and profound. Plus the stlye of music, and the sound really suited the different lyrics for each song. Plus they didnt use synthesizers.

wow... i cant fuckin believe someone could fucking ever think of making a god damned post ripping on the beatles. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison, Ringo Starr(not as much as the others) created the single most influencial band in the HISTORY of rock. Most of the bands today would not even be around without the Beatles. And Some of there 'better', earlier hits ( i.e. Love me Do) were not too exciting but if you listen to some of their other music ( The White Album) you will find the music to be much more interesting

they were the most influential band ever but they arent really my style. that transition period was kind of a weird sound. the stones arent really my style either.

I listen to and enjoy many genres of music...from the classical composers, to the trail songs of jonny cash and into the hard metal of the eighties....but personally I'm not too fond of the beatles music...I do not enjoy most of it, but I do recognize what they somewhat did...also take into account the fact that it wasn't JUST them who shaped music...they were just one of the more popular bands, and one that has stood the test of time...unfortunately though music is now dead so hopefully a new badn will come along and resurrect it
