Whitewater

So I'm from Calgary and moving to Nelson to go to school. My travels have never taken me to whitewater unfortunatly so I got a few questions about the hill. I'm a pretty big park rat and theres one thing thats kinda had me worried about the move. So to the white water loc's or peeps who've rode there, do they have any jumps??? I see that they have some decent rails, but I have not seen anything for jumps; am I going to have to make my own or will they have some jumps?

On a more serious note, there is no jumps in the park just rails ... and the park is not much so for reals ... Ski the pow you might like it.

Dont get me wrong, im retardedly stoked, I think I've only ever had like 2 good pow days at the area that i ski in and just the thought of gnar pow shredding.....i cant even explain. But not having jumps....I guess ill have to work on my pow landings hah. And I ride on some rossi s5's, 94 underfoot isnt huge but it gets the job done in the park and the pow

You won't regret buying some pow skis if it turns out to be a decent season!! It would be a good investment.

we actually did have a jump at the end of the season last year. i think it was about a 30 ft table? can't remember. It was set up for a couple of weeks then it started snowing and got covered up in like 2 days. So yeah, there may be a jump set up at some point, but dont count on it.
