Newschoolers! Anyone got a armada whitewalker with cast? I usually ski heavier skis so im a bit worried about durability. Anyone skied this combo (or normal pivots) and can verify if its a good combo? Thanks heaps!

I use the exact setup you described. Sold my Black Diamond 188 touring skis with Kingpin and my Dynafit boots for some 192 Whitewalkers with Pivots /Cast and Full Tilt Ascendants.

The Whitewalkers are fairly light for their size and dimensions but the whole setup is definitely heavier than my old touring setup but way more downhill oriented, which is what i was looking for.

Switching the toes with the CAST system is easy and i can recommend the whole setup.

I have not put it to heavy use yet because of the lack of snow in the last season and this season but i always had a blast when using the setup.

You can switch to the Pivot Toe and use them as a very solid Pow Ski which is also a nice option.

Yo man! I have a pair of WW 121 in 183 cm with a cast setup on them! I love them, they’re super light and float like no other ski I’ve ever ridden. One problem I’ve ran into is not having enough contact between my ski and the snow to get traction with skins on because they’re so rockered ? love the setup though and would recommend it if you are skiing in deep enough snow often

Aight, thanks guys That put my bad thoughts to rest. I'll see if i can upload a picture of the set when i have it!

Took my a while but finally got it. Some soft snow today in resort and these things are insanely good! Thanks for the recommendation!!
