December 6th is coming soon! Already snow up there, lets pray its a solid year. Also what are your thoughts on the new Flower Point Chair?

It's weird that all the spots I grew up building jumps at will be gone. I guess the kids will have to find somewhere new.

This is the first year I have a pass there sooooexcited to explore. Anywhere I should go?

What level of skier are you? There are some really fun spots if you do a little hiking. One good spot is Lodi Ridge which is a short hike up from the top of the Tbar on the backside.

I'd love to do some hiking. I think I tried that once when I was up there, but I coudln't figure out where to go.

I'll be around. We should probably do an NS shred day, if that doesn't happen organically.

And the Flower Point road has always been a sub par jump spot--every generation sorts that out. There are certainly better options further out.

I've never been to whitefish to ski... What does a bozemanite need to know about the mountain if I make a trip up this year? Any tips? All I hear about it is endless glades, do you have big mountain lines?

The easiest thing is to just link up with one of us--any NSer can show you a good time.

There's a ton of glades here, but certainly plenty of big mtn style lines--they just don't have nearly the runout or carry of the Bridgers or Big Sky. There's great slack country too. Don't forget that we've got actual groomers here too, which means you can spend a solid five minutes going as fast as you can from the top to the bottom. I've had trouble finding that at many other places in the state.

Hey guys, gonna be skiing whitefish from December 26 - January 4. Never been before, looking for people to shred with or maybe a NS meet up

Who is the new park manager? Will there be any major changes?

I can't remember his name but he is originally from the valley. I believe he worked for Northstar the last couple of years. They have also built a new fun looking wallride/box you're just gonna have to wait and see. Also they reshaped the battleship rail and the dfd as far as i know.

It's worth noting, friends, that we're doing pretty well compared with the rest of the country.

Stoked that we've actually got some snow, and may this warming be merciful upon us.

I get in tomorrow and will be shredding there for 10 days. Hopefully I'll get to meet some fellow NSers!

We're everywhere. Just try to follow the guys blowing up the mogul fields.

I'll be gone, but I can arrange for somebody to show you around. What dates?

we're trying to rally up this coming sunday and monday, not 100% yet but fingers crossed

Live in MN, never been to white fish. Thinking about taking the Amtrak out and staying at hibernation house or something for a few nights.

Haven't decided if im gonna go solo or have a couple buddies come with, either way im excited to shred...thinking late Feb.

Did a ski there for the first time Friday / Saturday... took a while to find a good routine but ended up just lapping "golf course / cliff zone" or whatever and hiking the radio tower. Too many flat areas and cat tracks all over this hill!!! Need more fall line skiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnn!

Anyone going to be going up tomorrow? I'll be up there, I'm new to the Kalispell area would love to make some skier friends.

Prepare to be perpetually late.

If you bring 1 other person you can split the cost of a roomette though which it totally worth it IMO. You get a private compartment, beds, a sleeping car attendant, and meals included. The train leaves MSP at about 10-11pm so you just hop on and go to bed. Not sure about the return schedule.
