hey, hows the skiing there at the end of December? how much of a base? im trying to plan it out so i go out West every school vacation next winter and not be stuck here in VT.

whistler's good pretty much all year round, at least for the terrain and such, the sno can be bad in spring/summer, but isn't it everywhere? it should be sweet in december, nice cold dry stuff, probably some powpow

I think its the best in the spring and summer. sunny and soft snow what more can you ask for?

I went dec 17-21 or something and it was sweet, plenty of base, foot of pow every day. The advanced park wasnt up yet tho, it didnt bother me much at all but it wouldve been cool. However this last december had a record breaking snowfall. Usually, from what a couple whistler ppl told me, is that they typically have enough base to open from top to bottom the second week of dec., but its not definite. Basically its a gamble, the top of the hill will be open definitely (I only skied the bottom half to get back down anyhow), but Im not exactly sure about 7th heaven, harmony chair and peak chair (they could possibly be closed because of exposure, like rocks and shit, but Im not sure, thats just speculation). The prices are cheaper before like dec 22, then they get pretty steep for peak season, so thats cool. Email whis for specific details. Any more questions just post or pm me.

well... you could want powder, cliffs, and um... ya, i guess that's about all that winter can offer that's better than summer skiing.

Whislter/Blackcomb is sweet all year. But during like winter break and things like that it gets a little crowded, but if you know the mountain you can get around easily w/o lines. If you want to check out all the stats on whistler/blackcomb, go to www.whistler-blackcomb.com
