Whistler/Vancouver Girls

Hey ladies, so after a couple years of retirement from being a park rat due to having moved out of Whistler I am getting the urge to get back in there. All my riding buddies are boys/snowboarders or don't ride park or don't live in Whistler any more, but I really want to get my confidence back and would love a gal to do some park laps with (watch me fall, eat shit, all that fun stuff as I try to get back on the bike again). There's a good 5 weeks left of the season and I am up there every weekend, so if any of you girls are up there and would be down to ride on a Saturday or Sunday let me know!

I don't live in Vancouver but Washington's ski season is pretty much done (not for lack of snow, but because not enough profit to keep the lifts spinning Q_Q).

That being the case I'll be making several trips up to Whistler until it closes, and am down with making new lady friends. I suck at jibbing, but I'm definitely down to hit jumps with you. First trip will probably be next Sunday - Tuesday, unless the weather shifts. Will be driving up with my husband and staying wherever is cheap in the village.

How is the park right now anyways? I haven't been up since early season, and last season Whistler was open but not Blackcomb for spring. They seem to have swapped it this spring so I'm not sure what to expect. Mostly hoping for some nicely shaped smaller jumps so I can work on spins.

It's actually funny you say that because I am way better with jumps and am wanting to work on spins and hitting them switch. It's the jibbing I need to work at getting back into.

And yup, it is Blackcomb that is open for spring. Park is good (I am a whistler park fan but that's because I personally find it less intimidating than the Blackcomb one and is has smaller features). But Blackcomb on the plus side has a small park just to the side of the main park area. And that's where the small jumps are and just the flat rails and boxes. And then there is the black park (definite no haha) and then the main part of the park has some good features and decent sized jumps as well.

That would be awesome to meet up and ride for that Sunday you come up (or any other trips you make up). Spring skiing has been pretty awesome this season. Just been enjoying sun and hike up to the peak for midday beers it's a good time. PM me and we can hopefully plan to meet up!

Ride black park everyday! hit us up

sweet, I will be up there Saturday and possibly on Sunday. I will be the one attempting/bailing to hit a box or rail for the first time in about 4 years. I will keep an eye out for ya.

Im in the park almost every day! down to learn some new tricks for sure

Love it, this weekend is a no-go for me with family stuff, but I'll be taking some random weekdays off and will also be up there the remaining weekends of the season. I'll message you both when I head up there.

I'll be at Blackcomb off and on until it closes, although I'll be mostly steering clear of the park on the weekends. I had some close calls on those days and it was not very fun to weave the hoards of people, which was a hectic mix of outright pros all the way to people that maybe shouldn't be in the park. If you see me feel free to say hi; https://gfycat.com/EmptySpanishHanumanmonkey SO and I from last weekend. I was impressed with the number of ladies throwing down in the park however, very rad to see.
