Whistler summer conditions

Ok this forum has somehow died... I would also like to know what it is like on the glacier right now for public peeps.

was up 2 days ago snow is nice still lots
beginning of the park little jump-(10-15ft was closed when i went, starting to melt away)cbox-(poor lip on)up down box-(poor lip on, really wide, up box down box combo not very steep)flat box-(nice)butter box-(boring)down bar-(very bad lip on but still fun)
all in all its not worth the 50$ if you jobless but its still fun to be riding
 
i am going to be in whistelr from july 14-19. that park sounds absolutely awful. i think i will have to mtn bike or hike some of the days. will they rebuild a better jump?
 
well that answers that. I got a week off from work. Down here in vancouver to visit my girlfriend, but she's working during the week till 4pm. and after reading the updates from the camps on the glacier, I really had an itch to ski and was wondering what the public lane was like. Based on what you just explained to me it does not worth it to drive up from vancouver for an afternoon of skiing. I'll just have fun doing some afternoon drinking instead.
 
It's beside COC, momentum has its own tbar. And spencer the public lane isnt that bad, you're just being a debbie downer about it. The c-box is fun, the lip is just fine, the up-down box is fun, the flat box is good, the up butter box sucks and the down rail/box at the end is just fine. Just get creative and you can have fun with any feature.
 
im just saying what its like! im no downer i had a blast up there it was SO fun skiing again omg its like....its just great i had so fun. Its nice to slide boxes and do some switch ups again. Its just in my opinion not worth the money. First of all we lucked out but usually you would have to share the t bar with COC...ef...that... Second the lips are just bad enough to limit your set up on each feature. Third the ruts. Fourth well its 50$ for basically 3 hours of riding. Its still fun dont get me wrong but little frodo i didnt see you doign any tricks on them boxes just slides. that could get boring.
 
Cool buddy, I was riding momentum park, and only used public t-bar to either go get lunch or go home for the day.
 
hey. i will be in whistler from this wed to sunday, skiing as many days as possible. i heard that they let public skiers go through dave murray and part of momentum now. is this true? i'll be wearing a white visor smith helmet with line octolands up there., and falling down a lot.

Is the momentum park open to the public now? The camp just ended. COCs last day is saturday.
 
I was up there yesterday. Momentum just tore down everything, COC is still running. Dave Murray is the new public park. The old public lane got taken down and now there are 2 jumps around 15-25 feet maybe, a down box, a flat-down rail, a barrel bonk, a down-flat box that has a tiny tiny lip from the side, and 2 baby jumps. Everything is melting damn fast up there too. Puddles all through the park. Still super fun but I don't see how it'll keep going for another 2 weeks...
