So road tripping up to Whistler from SLC and im just wondering what I can look forward to.I will be arriving there around May 9th-10th and staying to early june.I have only been to Whistler once and it was back in the days of high north and in early july.
A couple questions just off the top of my head:when does blackcomb move there park from the normal location up to the glacier?how will conditions most likely be during this time?how cheap is staff housing in the village?any one have experience with this?
Also, keep in mind I am on a very small budget and bumming is acceptable.(speaking of this, how cold will it get in the village at night if i were to crash in a sleeping bag?)

A:Once glacier skiing starts which last year was june 8th don't know for this year.

how will conditions most likely be during this time?

A:They can vary greatly, you can have blue bird, or it can be raining or foggy. Lots of times you'd take the lift up through rain and/or dense fog and you'd pop into blue bird above the clouds.

how cheap is staff housing in the village?

A: You'll have to look into it but I think my buddy pays mid 5's a month for 1 bdroom in a hostel style building right on the village stroll. I would check classifieds as it's considered dead season, and you might be able to pick something sick up for cheap, thats what I did last year when I went from April untill end of July.

any one have experience with this?

A: Yes and its fun this time of the year you can go skiing all day then hit up the beach, bike park or skate park at night before heading out!

Also, keep in mind I am on a very small budget and bumming is acceptable.

A: Do you have a car, if so you should be fine (After and altercation with some american police and underage drinking we had to sleep in my van keys out of the ignition at -26 C) as long as you know how to do it. But even tho it can get quite hot in the village I noticed that all the cold air from the glaicers settles down to the bottom at night making it a little brisk.
