Whistler Ski Instructors.

Just wondering if there is a ski instructor on here that works at Whistler named Martin.

*Calling this douche out.
 
Yeah I know that guy as well. Hes a bit odd but more or less harmless. Definately cant ski though.
 
He insulted my little sister, by telling her how she may look cool, but that she isnt cool at all. called her numerous names not suitable for on the job language. an impresionable girl takes these comments very harsh, and hurt. she was not pleased at all to say the least. she can ski very well, she is probably the steeziest 13 yr old girl on the hill at any time. she rocks, an echeadwear toque under a baker, with gog straps under, dope ass jacket, good gear, twin tips, skis switch better than most people do. i unno, i was just pissed at this guy for making these ridiculous comments and hurting someones feelings.

the only reason she was taking a lesson was because it was a school trip, and it was mandatory. smack this foo up side the head for me please, thanks :)
 
Dude thats not cool at all....serious misconduct right there. Never cool to hate on anyone especially if they are doing the same sport we all love, despite all of our different levels. Get an apology, period, she deserves one.
 
I think I've talked with this douche before. Trying to remember if Martin was his name.

At any rate, you should bring this to the attention of the mountain staff. Make him sweat a bit when he finds out his job might be in jeopardy. Skiers shouldn't hate on one another like that, especially if it's an instructor. They deal with people of all skill levels, and that's completely inappropriate.
 
yeah he was probubly just jelous cause she can ski better than him. And that she looks mad dope and he looks stupid. If i see him ill smack him.. unless i manage to get out of there before that. NEVER do ski school big big big big mistake.
 
I agree, 1/2 the instructors/ patrolers are very cool and laid back...the other 1/2 are very unprofessional and half assed. I was on the lift last feb sitting next to an instructor and several of his students and had to listen to him insulting me and my "backcountry buddies" for "reckless" inbounds skiing and "lack of carving technique". Never take a lesson with them as the chance of getting a bad instructor is just to great.
 
sucks you had bad experiences, but for the 6 years i lived there as a kid,

took lessons 5 of the 6 each and every time had the sickest and most chill

insturctors, it was so much fun.

2 from Canada, 1 from Japan, 2 from Australia !!
 
Yeah it blows that there are so many douche instructors. Im an instructor/coach myself here (I coach local kids and instructors in the park generally) and I feel kinda ashamed some days to put on the uniform just because of the fags that make the cool half of us look bad.

Come to think of it (judging by my karma rating thingy) some of you guys have probably hated on me whilst Ive been teaching. What a bummer. I thought I was cool.
 
dude, it's not something someone should lose their job over. if their that bad don't make them lose their job, let someone else make them lose their job. for all you know your 13 year old sister could have been chirpin the fuck out of other kids in her class and the instructor was just trying to stand up for the other kids. you never know. just chill, if hes really that much of a douche, he will lose his job. peace. im moving to whistler tomorrow will look out for 'martin' ill talk to him and ask him whats up.
