in a year i am done high school and am planning to go move out west.between whister and lake louise , which one would be a better place to work at and more afforadable to live .I just cant decide which i like better anyways. i know the snow is better at whistler but gotta love being in the rockies...give me your thoughts

i love the whistler village, and louise and sunshine are cold, i'd say whistler, but i don't know about jobs and such

i have never been to whistler but i know that louise has plans for students or something to stay in staff housing over the winter and work at the resort. banff is like 10 mins from louise

banff is 45 minutes from louise buddy. But louise is defantly the shit man, Whistler obviosuly has better backcountry but i would say louises park is close to whistler. The only thing i think louise could improve would be maybe an other pipe or at least cut their pipe more then once a mounth

Ive been warned to never trust Newschoolers such as Laterlis and mommy, im also afraid to look at there profiles for fear of seeing naked pictures of men
 
I've never been to whistler but the year I lived in Lake Louise was unbelivable. In the Charlstown staff housing its pretty cheep, like 140 a month when I was there 4 years ago. Also you can charge food to your pass. You don't ake a shitload of money but the park is unbelivable now and there is really good backcountry stuff if you know where to go. There are also towns of jobs.

 
im in louise right now.....lake louise isnt really a town....just a ski resort and a gas station....banff is huge and everything seems pretty reasonably priced.....and sunshine is sick......louise is about 35 minutes from banff and the scenery outhere is just insane....

 
Move to revelstoke its inbetween the town hills. Our ski hill is gonna start developing. We are on the trans canada highway so it will be easy for people to stop here and ski on there way to other towns (unlike whistler where you have to go out of your way)

 
banff is probly my favorite place on earth. when i town you can walk anywhere and there a 3 ski hills with in 20mins. and it's so pretty there

Is louises park really that good? Comparable to the blackcomb park? I dunno, havent been to Lake Louise but I havent even heard it was good before. Let me know what thy got going on.

 
Louises park is so sick. They had the snowboarder super park there last year. It has one of the best parks ever, but knowbody knows abou it.

 
Man dont go to louise or whistler cause both have insanely high land owning costs...a developing town with a sick mountain nearby is Golden, seriously check it out thats where I plan to go once I get out of high school, the town is right at the foot of Kicking Horse

Banff is cool. U can go to about 6 different resorts within an hour and a half.

Louise got a new Zaugg pipe cutter so it whould be a really good pipe to go along with their world class park finally.

Sunshine can be fun, lots of good BC and Nakiska's park is even better than Louise's for flow and jumps. Plus Calgary has TONS of sick rails.

ok louise's park is sick but not as sick as whistlers!! not even close. Louise had like 4 nice jumps last year, thats it. Its no extraordanary park. Id say whistler for sure!

I dont know how you can say that kicking horse blows, the snow was epic the first time I went there and the second time most of the west had a big drought for snow so it wasnt just horse...they keep opening new backcountry bowls and the access to other cliff and bowls is terribly easy. Like take a hike up terminator ridge (which just a little while ago I saw douglas doing a little while ago)..screw it if you dont have a park because thats not what you need to have an epic day of skiing

i would ski at louise at live in canmore, louise is like 45 minutes away from canmore and your probably more likely to get a job in canmore than banff.

 
Whistler is the happiest place on earth. That's why it's so damn expensive. And whoever said sunshine is they're favorite resort please ski anywhere else and that will change. Sunshine SUCKS!!!! It's crowded the park sucks the snow turns to ice!
