If I'm 18 how easy\ hard will it be for me to get into night clubs in whistler this winter? I know in the us o can get into the clubs but usually not get served a drink unless I know someone.. is this the same for whistler?

 
the drinking age is 19 so your gonna have to get a fake or something as they will id you. once you actually get into the club/bar it wont be hard to get a drink at all. just wait 5 mins in a line and tip noticeably well.

im pretty sure if you just sneak the bouncer a tip at the door they would be happy to let you in, $30 is probly 3 hours of work for them. I knew loads of underage kids that hit the clubs up on a regular basis last winter.
 
not true. unless you are tipping like 50-100+ i dont know a bouncer in whistler who would let that slide. If something were to go down and that kid drank to much or got in a fight, that doorman potentially loses his job. And there is no bar in whistler worth a 50 dollar admin anyways.

Best bet is a fake ID, but now in days the police have really cracked down on the bars and clubs. If there is even one minor found in the bar, the club is suspended from service for at least a week. so the bouncers have all types of gizmos to check the validity. you gotta make sure the id is legit (ALWAYS need 2 current pieces..always), and make sure the person on the card looks ALOT like you. They will laugh at you and take it if its an obvious fake.

 
yea i was going to say 50-100 but i thought that might be a bit much. i didnt realise it was that strict, although i didnt really go out much when i was in whistler last year i vaguely remember needing 2 forms of id.
 
i rocked a fake last season. was expired by 3 years LOL. still worked like a boss. its just gotta look kinda like u and be believable. maxx fish tuesdays woooo
 
Its Canada, NOWHERE is 30$ for 3 hours of work... thats 10/hr... Id lean more towards the 100$ range if you were to tip, however, if you are tipping a bouncer they know your underage, and they probably wont let you in because there are plenty of people who are of are to take your place.. And as for fakes, you will need 2 pieces for Whistler.
 
i used to go into all the clubs in whistler when i was 16.....they do card and usually ask for two forms of ID but you can basically hand them a post-it note with some bs written on it. i used to use a horrible US state ID card from Michigan and it worked like a charm every time.
 
Just get a half decent fake id and secondary and you'll be sweet. Most places are pretty lax about it, and you won't get id-ed at the bar once you're in you're in.. If you go to Longhorns just go through the back downstairs to the bathrooms and then you can just slip in through the slide door. Works every time!
 
It sounds like its hard as fuck to get in there underage hahaha in Murcia they really don't care I've used a fake since I was 17. Only gone through three. So that's cool. Good luck op! Hope you achieve the rage!

its like when a group of girls invites you a place and insist there is no cover and to come with your friends...and you get there and its like 10 bucks a person or something.
 
You don't have to drop big tips. Bartenders don't give a shit about age, that's the front doors iob
 
I got into the longhorn a couple weeks back by using my own driver's license, and I'm 18 hahaha
 
yea my first year here i was 18, had a fake with my name and picture on it, never had a problem that whole season. I dont think anywhere actually scans ids, i could be wrong, but ive never seen it. As long as the id isnt either from some obscure place like south africa, and preferably isnt from bc youll probably be good. I had one from maine and it worked perfectly, because it seemed reasonable for someone (especially with my normal sounding accent) from maine to be in whistler, yet the bouncers didnt know off the top of their heads what to look for to tell if the id was real.
 
i would say most places r super strict in whistler on IDing and such because their are new laws in place and people and establishments can be fine over 10k in BC for selling alcohol to minors.
 
Get an id of someone who looks like you (doesnt have to look like you at all really, same hair color and build) that is 19, im sure you know plenty of people around that age. Even though its a very popular vacation destination, i don't think you'll have much problem getting in, if you look anywhere near 19 they're not gonna grill your ID.
 
if you're going to do it that way you need to get one of their credit cards, or another id. all the places ask for 1 photo and 1 other official id
