Hey all,

I just made up my mind, I'm gonna take a yr after highschool and before college and head out to Whistler. Anything I should know before I head out therE? Ok, well I just wanted to let everyone know...

Make sure that you have a good resume because the job search out there is really competitive. Half the people that show up in November end up leaving because they either can't find a job or can't find housing. I worked out in Whistler last year and it was a blast. I got a job with Intrawest as a rental tech in the Pan Pacific hotel... shitty job but I was able to ski at least 5 days a week and you get a pass for free. You also get staff housing. Super ghetto but insanely cheap and very conveniently located (tip: live in Brio Staff if you have a choice). Anyways the first little bit will be stressful but if you get set with a job and housing you will have a wicked year.

cko. the pan pacific was a wicked hotel. i stayed there when we went to vancouver a couple years ago and it was real nice. especially the idea of having an entire mall underneath the hotel.
