so newschoolers after riding my old scratches for 5 seasons? I think its time to upgrade. Old skis were 168 or 167. Iv narrowed my choices down to these...

Rossignol S5 Jib or S4 Jib?

And what length?

S5 comes in 171, 178, 185, so im thinking 178?

S4 comes in 160, 167, 174, 181

I live in Saskatchewan, make a few trips a season out west, I ski pretty much everything park, back country, rails, learning spins.

Im 5 food ten (177.8cm) 160 Lbs, brown hair blue eyes athletic body, and im kidding about the last 3 details.

Input greatly appreciated, +K

181 s4 the extra length will bother you a little bit in the beginning but you'll ge used to it and the 181 measures to 5'9" so it will be a good fit

i dont know much about the s4 or s5 jib but there are some other really good 1 ski quiver skis like line blends. also if you are skiing the east coast i heard there is not that much snow and chronic cryptonite is a great all mountain ski that is really solid for park plus it is quick and is good for trees.
as for size if you really want the s4/s5 i would go with the 178 or 181.

No where in my city caries skis, so I have to order them in through a bike shop, and they only can get rossignol. I watched the lil video on the rossi sight of the s4, its wider then I thought, and the s5 is even wider. sucks not being able to actually go into a shop and look at a selection.

oh if you live close to calgary there is a few line dealers there and alot of ski shops carrying other good brands. you can also order some online and they should ship to your house. check out backcountry.com d-structure and Coreupt

well i like to support my local shop as much as I can, they helped me out lots back in my bike racing days. What do you think of these two choices?

I'm assuming you're talking about FAE? I'm from Saskatoon and used to race back in the day as well. You just need to decide whether you want a more park specific ski or something a little more all mountain. The one thing I can tell you about rossi is that they are seriously light and easy to spin. Also I beleive the S5's have a little rocker? So that's something else to consider.

hahah when i read the ,"blonde hair, blue eyes, athletic body" i was like, are you fucking kidding me , but then saw you were joking.. haha LOOL

@ flatland, no actually talking about genes, but i do know and ride with the guys from fresh too.

Seeing as my local hill only has two rope tows, maybe 60feet vertical, the whole thing is pretty much park (not a great one, four jumps, one decent sized one at the bottom, a few ride on rails and sometimes a log jib) only time I get to do anything else is on my annual ski trip to the mountains.

and yeah, I figured id add in I was just kidding after the brown hair blue eyes thing haha

i got em in 181, im thinking im going to regret it, they are looking pretty long. mounting em up this week and il find out i guess. 176 would have been a better choice im thinking :(

also, centre mount the s4s or slightly back

this makes me feel better. im worried sick i ordered them too long. how can i tell exactly if i can centre mount them? they have marks on them zero to +5 and centre is more forward then 5. they arent perfectly symmetrical either
