Which ski???

I'm thinking about getting a pair of 2005-2006 k2 public enemies. I'm an all mountain skiier (bumps, backcountry, a little park-starting to do more, and more big mountain stuff) Is this a good choice? And which size (i'm debating between a 163 and a 169) i'm about 5'10" and 135lbs.

Does anyone know how these ski's handle??? And i already bought a pair of last years rossi axial 110's, should i return them and get the 120? (the rep said 100's were too weak, and 120 wern't better especially since they were like $40 more - he said the binding was depandant to the skier's weight, but i doubt he's skied on them so if anyone out there has skied them, please give me ur input).

And should i still look at the PE? should i look more at the 1080 gun's, Scratch BC, etc? Just to reiderate i'm looking for an all mountain ski (powder, bumps (a lot of these), backcountry, flat (not so much of these), crud, etc., etc.) i only have like $400ish to spend, and the PE's look like one of the best ways to go, but if you have another suggestion besides the PE for what i do, please tell me.

yep PEs sound good and tell us ur height and weight...and they pes come in a 164 not a 163 just to tell u not much of a difference but ya..

hmmm well i have Scratch BC's and they are awesome, i haven't skiied powder in them yet, but for the other stuff u mentioned they are great, in fact awesome, i prefer them over the PE for all Mtn stuff, they have a better flex patern, and fatter is always better!!!!

ps 169 for sure!

ok thanks for the recomendations. the only concern that i have with the scratch BC is that its 128/98/121 and the PE is 118/85/109 and i do a lot of bump skiing and i'm afraid that the BC (and other skis like it- such as the seth vicious) are gonna be getting too big for the bumps. I really jump around with what i do on the mountain, one day it'll be all bumps, the next: hucking cliffs in the backcountry, then powder, etc. etc. So i really need a ski that is skinny enough for bumps, fat enough for powder, and just good all around

You should look at the Volkl Karmas, too. They are a little more expensive than the PEs, but everyone I know that rides them loves them. Freeskier listed them as the best all-mountain twin last season, and they are basically unchanged this year. I'm getting them for this season.

ok i can go look at some of those, the ski rep didn't reccomend them for me personally becuase volkl makes a really stiff ski and i'm not a really big guy so he said the PE's would flex better and be a little better for someone like me. But ya the karmas are really cool.

I'm pretty small, too, ( 5'11" 150lbs) but I figure that having to push my skis to get the most out of them will make me a better skier.

if you go with the public enemys go with 174 or 179. And freeskier listed the karmas as one of the best skis for this year too. they would work fine if you dont spend to much time in the pipe.

thats the new sprayer. Look @ last years BC. It has a sick flex and only about a 90mm waist so it will be better for that you described.Pretty cheap too. And about size, get the 178 BC or 179 PE. I am 181cm and have 179 fujas. the size couldnt be better.

yeah i have those BC's they have such a mad flex pattern its not funny, and they aren't too fat for moguls either i did the olympic grade mogul course at our resort in them this year and they were fab. plus 178 is fine, i have that and i am 179cm tall

if your 5'10" 179 will be fine. i am 180cm tall and ski 179's and it was the best choice i ever made. But if your just getting into skiing you could get a 174 as a PE is now made in more sizes.
