I feel like I say this every year but we are definitely in a golden era of street skiing right now, especially after reading that list.

This is for sure one of the best eras of street skiing if not the best. The focus is all about going out and creating something that is interesting and unique, and less on who is doing the craziest and most technical tricks. Some of the best videos feature skiing that is honestly mediocre, but the energy and vision behind the project make it timeless. At the same time though, we still have crews like forre doing absolutely nutty superhero shit that is just as gnarly as any stept movie. There is just so much variety and different visions for what street skiing is and can be, and way less of a hierarchy in terms of one crew being better than the next crew.

the only thing that could really improve the current street skiing scene is $$$, really stoked to see line put out a project, on3p returning to film projects, Vishnu as always doing their part, but I still think there is a long way to go in terms of ski companies directly supporting street skiing.

I love heavy street riding but there’s a special place in my heart for the simple projects focused on good music choice, perfect filming despite how new or old the camera being used is, creative spot selection, and squeaky clean riding. Shit that’s more relatable. I mean yeah your mega fed you did on a flat loading dock rail was cool, but I’d rather see something more creative and has me inspired to go ride. Stuff where I’m like, hey, I can do that. Stuff that proves you don’t have to be the most talented skier to form a good ass product.

For real. It is crazy impressive that they made an entertaining video with zero spins over 180. I feel like that video marked a huge shift in street skiing. Spot selection and filming/editing style is now more important to a lot of people than the tricks you’re actually doing

I listened to the hunter hess episode of two planker pod recently and he talked about how what they’re trying to accomplish is larger than life, superhero type stuff, similar to what was going down 10 to 15 years ago. They are trying to push the limits of what is possible on skis and I got a lot of respect for that. I think its a pretty different focus from what most street crews are doing right now, which is oriented primarily around creative spot and trick selection. You definitely have a point though, hunter and Owen talked about the u haul wall ride as if it was an NBD when JP laced that shit up a decade ago. I’m just glad we have so much variety these days

was told to me over a year ago by said members so my memory could be a little foggy BUT

CL boys found a super unique/crazy rail or something. Nbd. Hit it, got a shot, put a lock on it, marked the lock with their tag or whatever to let whoever know, hey, we’re tryna save this if you find it. Ahall apparently cut the lock off and just hit it anyway, and if I remember correctly he included the clip in one of his vids. Before CL even dropped theirs.
