Which rollerblades?

So, summer is starting and my friend is trying to convince me to get some rollerblades because he says it helps your skiing. The only problem is I know absolutely nothing about them and I have no idea what to get. What are some good, AFFORDABLE, beginner level blades that I should get? Other than that, I can't give much info because i have no idea what im looking for. thanks for suggestions. +k

searchbar.seems like we have more what rollerblade threads nowa days then skate 3 threads.IMO go with razors. awesome beginner through pro skate. I learned on them, and still ride them 7 years later. (yes i have tried just about every other, always ended up back on razors)I suggest GEN skates (and gen skate, shima skate, or chaz skate ext..) same boot mold.heres sizing charts for you to figure out sizing -http://www.aggressivemall.com/Sizing-Charts-s/13.htm

Get razors cult b skates. They are the cheapest and they are actually pretty nice.

i would deffinately suggest getting some remz OS3's, they are pretty cheap, $200, and they are really light, another reason why i like them, is they come stock with v-cut jug liners, best liners ever in my opinion, check em out

Get razors. I have had the sl boot, and the gen boot but i personally like the sl boot better. Its lighter and has bigger soul plates. But regardless to what you get size down, especially with jug liners. The toe breaks in and usually ends up being two sizes bigger than it really is. For example my shoe size is 10, and i skate a 8. I know people with my shoe size that skate 6's with my shoe size. the reason for this is much better control.

I remember when they first came out. They are a really dumb concept to me and I hate them. I would recommend avoiding them.

I love mine. They certainly take awhile to get used to but it's worth it. Super comfy and responsive. Even just flowin through the skatepark feels fun on them. I doubt i'll ever switch back to another brand. Or at least not for awhile.
