Which powder ski should I get?

Hey guys,

I am an advanced skier and I am able to do blacks and double blacks confidently and I mostly ski at cypress and whistler. I currently have a pair of the Armada ARV96 but I’m looking to buy a second ski that will act as a powder ski. I’m looking for something that will be good for powder and trees. Right now I’ve narrowed it down to the armada arv 116jj and the bent chetler 120. Just wondering which one you guys would recommend?

Thanks

How tall are you, how much do you weigh, come on

Reckoner 112 you can still hit the park or ski hard pack with it put it still has plenty of float In pow

Both are great skis!

The Bentchetler will be a little bit lighter. The JJ has more taper, meaning it will be a bit more "pivoty" though the Bentchetler isn't hard to break loose and get sideways either. The Bentchetler is maybe just a touch stiffer.

overall, they're pretty similar skis, both great for a fun and lively ride in pow, and surprisingly fun all over the mountain.

OP said he wants a pow ski not a daily.

I’m pretty partial to k2 but he can finds some deals on catamarans rn which I’ve skied and are super fun in deep snow. Haven’t tried the reckoner 122 out yet. those look like a blast also. My friend has JJs and he loves them I don’t think you can go wrong with jjs or bc120s

the bases on teh reckoner 122s is enough reason to get the, they are blueeeeee, very blue.

choosing between theese skis is like win, win, win though.

seconded, i've heard pretty much only good things about cats as a freestyle pow ski.

Also you might wanna check the Moment Wildcats which are a ski that feels different from the cats but they also have a cult following.

Third recommendation(s) are the ON3P pow skis (Billy Goat and C&D), you can't really go wrong with ON3P. Again though you will have to consult others on how they feel exactly.
