Which part of skiing do you like the most

I like the part where the crew is cruising down to the lift and on that certain, wide open, not very steep slope, everyone starts trying funny stuff. I tend to laugh a lot, and I like that.

my favorite part of skiing is that it makes me happy, i get to meet a lot of new people and i get to express myself through skiing. also i get to free my mind from 'normal life' issues and basically think of nothing.

Probably that I can escape normality and can find buddies that I don't get to see a lot. Also going up the tow rope jamming to my music.

I love that I can express what I am feeling in my skiing, I can either go hard with the filming aspect and try to stomp big tricks, or I can mellow it down, toss a few floaty tricks and play around with butters, maybe go rip some trees and groomers to free the mind.

Ripping through the trees with friends while hootin and hollaring. And sharing deep turns with homies, love that "no fuckin way" feeling at the bottom after regrouping.

Couldn't agree more.

I remember last year it was me, my friends, and their friends just mobbin through the trees. Lots of stoke and everyone was killin it. The area we were in kind of funnels out and theres a larger side hit out of the trees which basically turned into a 10 person cossack train. Shit was so damn fun.

when the temperature is just right, theres some freshly groomed hero snow and no matter how shitty your parks are its still an awesome day.

Bombing groomers and hauling complete ass. Nothings better

So much this. Had one of my best moments at the end of last season bombing down empty groomers with a pack of about 10 buddies and just tearing it up the whole way down.

sadly, I don't like anything about skiing except for the feeling of really doing it.

scene, clothes, gear, transport, food, waiting, tempratures... basically all that sucks, but the moment of clicking into the bindings and dropping into the jibline is worth it haha

i like that everyone has their own unique take on skiing, its not like football or basketball (ive got nothing against those sports) in the aspect that in those sports everyone does the same thing every day, skiing isnt like that, one day you might have a powder day and the next day your lapping the park with da boyz stomping a new trick.

*drops mic

ripping around in the trees with buds, hauling ass down groomers, landing new tricks and stomping old ones, and just dicking around

Da gurlz

In all honesty though, it has to be what most people have said. Doing it with your buds, chargin hard, pushing yourself to do what you didn't think you were capable of, you know, that kinda stuff

I like everything about skiing. Like people have mentioned. Riding with the crew, landing new tricks, just mobbing runs. For me it's my "happy place" the place I go to forget everything else that's going on in my life. And the skiing community. I don't know of any other sport where the community is so strong. If u want proof just look at this website. I'm blown away by all the support and encouragement and opinions that you get on here but in the end it all comes down to one thing....we all love to ski.

Bombing down groomers, popping off rollers and side hits and launching huge rooster tails with my rockered pow skis. I don't think I've seen anything that makes bigger rooster tails than my New Lifes.

And this! I liked it the better.

I like the part when my skiing buddies talk about powder and someone screams "ah dude i loved those faceshots" and we get really intense started from lots of the girls and the crepy janitor that part kinda sucks

''What I love about skiing is that it is nothing if not improvising inside the vanishing moment. At a great speed (say, 50 m.p.h.), in rapidly changing circumstances (snow configuration and texture, trees coming at you, patches of ice, light angles shifting, etc.), you have to make a series of not only correct but also irreversible decisions: the weight shifts, the bend in the knees, the position of the upper body, the planting of the poles, the turn made on top of the mogul, or beyond the tree. You can plan one or two decisions in advance, but readiness to make an instant adjustment is always required, as everything around you is swiftly and constantly changing.

In the flow, you have no time for reflective or analytical thinking. Your body needs to work in concert with the mind absolutely, simultaneously and unconditionally — you can kiss your Cartesian split goodbye. One wrong decision is enough to make you fall, perhaps even suffer a serious injury or, at the very least, shatter a mental and sensory immersion so pleasurable as to be orgasmic, so intense that it amounts to nothing less than a sense of total presence in the world"

Hiking that one feature with all your homies for like 2 hours after the lift closes just throwing down. Nothing beats that shit.

I think it is a 3 way tie for what I like most.

1) Going as fast as possible and ripping down trails with a crew.

2) Powder days in the trees with friends.

3) Going big or doing something that is outside of your comfort zone. I remember the first time I landed a 60 ft jump and I was stoked. One of the best feelings in life.

The 80 degree spring days right before the mountain closes for the season where the crew is in just tall tees ripping grommers making heads turn, launching off side jumps over gapers, poaching trails, and then running from ski patrol for poaching said trails

I like the feeling of riding up the chair first time on a Saturday morning when the weather is awesome and you just know it's going be one of the best days of the season.
