Hello, i'm going to COC this summer where there will be line demos. I need new skis, and I ski mostly groomed/park stuff, so i'm thinking either mike nicks or skogens. I'm 5'6'. thanks

These things make me mad. COC session C.

WELL- THE 1260'S WOULD BE CRAPPY ON GROOMERS AT xxxtreme SPEEDS- SO SOFTY

I saw the 1260s and they are really good for park but not the greatest all mountain ski. Seems really flexy.

The Mavericks and Darksides are meant for all mtn use, although the Mavs are a hair softer and semi-twinned for park use. The Darksides are stiffer (with titinal layers) and have a tail designed for carving and bumps.

mav's are more an entry-level ski and they have very little tail. they are super soft

i'm 5'6' and ride a 164 1260. within the next year or 2 or 40 i'll be moving up to 171 skogens or so.

i wont drop out of high school for skiing, mom

I had Lines last year, and never again will I buy Line skis. They fell apart after about 2-3 weeks. If you ski hard, they will do the same. I have heard this from many others too.

the top sheets fall apart, yep.

the bases are petex, like every other ski.

their warranty program is insane.

they want happy customers, they obviously have troubles keeping their skis together (so do i) but they want to rectify it to everyone.

Either the Mike Nicks or the Skogens would be great for you... I've been riding Skogs for three years now, I absolutely love them in the park, but not so much for REAL skiing, like crud, pow, etc. I've heard that the MNs are a better all-around ski, so maybe you should look into that. The Skogs don't carve too well.
