Which is safer? a back or front flip

over the summer i practiced backflipping into my pool since i dont have a trampoline. I pretty much mastered it. now i feel the time has come to do it skiing. My biggest fear is landing on my neck, head or back and really hurting myself. i guess my question is what the title says.

can i have your opinion?

no i can't backflip im just giving you tips on a trick i can't do...
but really dawg its like this. the jump basically does the work for you all you have to do is pop and commit and all of a sudden you see your landing its my favorite trick to throw because its so easy and fun

Backflips are def easier, I would suggest getting a spot for the ground. Front flips are a lot less intimidating. The main thing with a backflip is to commit like a mofo. I've taught and spotted people for a backflip who are super uncoordinated and got them around and most got it really soon.

Spark notes: Backflip easier, but scarier and should prob have spot for first few times trying. Front flip is harder to land but less intimidating and safer to a certain extent in the beginning.

yo frontflips are easier, and you can do them off headwalls and stuff without a risk of landing on your head, unless you are just that uncordinated

to me a front flip feels safer because u have alot more chance of landing on your back because right off the bat your head is already tucked in and its just like doing a summersault on the ground.

I think backflips are easier, its all mental. Once you get it a couple times and learn to spot it and control the flip its one of the easiest and coolest tricks out there. Backflips will never go out of style.
Frontflips are harder IMO but not too hard. Its just a little weird popping forward off a jump that wants to throw you back.
Both are just a matter of commitment though. If you bail out and don't commit you can land on your head with both tricks.

Dude i tried my first back last thursday.. I landing straight on my head no joke. It hurt but honestly it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be..

Just find a jump that you think is good, commit and dont forget to keep looking back and throw as hard as you can.

I think my problem was that i was commiting at first but halfway through i stopped looking back.

its as easy as this backflips are easier because you can spot your landing whereas a frontflip you cannot spot your landing at all, however backflips are much scarier in the air and i think they have a higher liablility

backflip was scared me but last week a try it and its more and its easier then a frontflip .. but when you miss a backflip pain is more then when you miss a front flip but backflip just put your head back and that its

i can front but i havent tried back since i fucked up and landed on my head/neck haha...def. frontflip cause u get past your head/neck first and not last...def safer because of that

Neither is safer, they both get you inverted. Its just a matter of which is more comfortable for you to throw. Learning backflips is all about air awearness, it just came naturally for me.

They'll usually teach you a front flip before a back flip.
To throw a front flip come up to the jump, raise the roof, and pop forward dropping your chest/head
Landing is somewhat blind, the jump should have some kick, a powder landing is ideal

Things to remember when trying your first backflip
centred over your skismove with your coredon't over emphasis by throwing your headit's more in your ab's and tucking or stretching out your legs to speed up or slow down your rotation
I'd recommend try your first one on a 1/4 you only need about 2 feet of air, if things go wrong drop your shoulder and look down you'll atleast throw a flair. even if you don't land it you'll get a sense of whether flipping is right for you or not
Don't forget your brain bucket for either
If you can't competently do either off a diving board or on a trampoline disregard above statements.
and water ramps are the safest way to go.
