Which FKS had 100mm brakes?

Which model had the 100mm brakes? I'm pretty sure the brake size was XL (100 - 105?) and they made them a while back...I think in the black color with silver brake arms.

I can't find any online for the life of me (used of course) and have no idea why they stopped making them in this size. A jump from 90mm to 115mm is kinda stupid because there's no middle ground for people like me with a 100mm waist. I have bent fks's right now but wish I could buy a more proper fitting binding/brake from them.

Did you read what I posted? I clearly state I have bent FKS's right now, but it would be nice to have a factory spec 100mm brake because they will always fit better than any bent brake.

From what I hear, the materials they use on the new FKS brakes snaps much easier than the older ones when bending.

I have a pair of unmounted pivot 14s right next to me and they measure approximately 100mm (Wide model).

Xxl is 115 I believe and then there is the 130.

Not sure they ever made a 100 mm brake width. The black bindings were

just the 14 din version the first year they brought them back, so they

would have had the same brake width as the 18 din orange bindings. The

new sizes are 95 mm and 115 mm though. So for a 100 mm ski I would get

the 95 mm brakes and for a 105 jump up to the 115 mm. With a 100 mm

waist ski, the 95 mm brakes probably wont even require any tweaking.

Looking at backcountry.com right now the L is 90mm. Looks like the Look's might be 95mm though because the size is "Wide", not Rossi's "L"

It's too bad they brought back the black in only 115mm...not the biggest fan of the neon orange.

FKS and Pivots share exactly the same brakes in terms of width.

Size "Wide L" is 80-95mm but it will fit 100mm ok. if it is tight, you can actually bend them a bit without disassembling

yeah I've got the "90mm" on my rossi slat which is 97 underfoot and it fits with room to spare, if it's going on a 100 underfoot ski you should have no problem

This...thank you.

Just did some research and they did indeed exist, but are ultra rare. They were the FKS Squad with "wide brakes", sized at 105mm. These also had the all metal toe piece. The squad's also came in "narrow brake" size at ~80mm I think.

If this was the case, how would I bend them without disassembling? I've bent them while taken apart, but never still in the heel piece.

If you need to bend just a few mm you can put the the brake into vice and use the ski as leverage - that simple

Just do it slowly
