Which fisheye.

You have a few options. What is your budget?

Opteka 6.5mm is the same as the bower/samyang/pro optics 8mm 3.5

Tokina 10-17

Nikon 10.5

simga 10-20

These are all great fish eyes at different price points.

Remember, when it comes video/photo gear, you get what you pay for. I've heard great things about both the sigma 10-20 and tokina 10-17 but the bower/opteka/samyang 8mm is a nice budget lens too. the nikon is out of your price range for sure and for video its similar to the others.

yeh i saw that. I've heard good things about all of them ill just have to make a money based decision

I mean, a glide cam is 250-450 depending on the model (both do the same, HD is easier to use)

2000 pro

2000 HD

so that leaves you about 350-550. So those lenses in order of price...

thats pretty everything laid out, you could save up some more money or buy now. I think that the glide cam 2000 pro would be fine for you then maybe save up to buy the tokina 10-17

Keep in mind that old version of the Samyang/Bower/Rokinon/Opteka fish-eye doesn't meter on a D5100. It will only let you shoot in manual (M) mode.

There's a newer version that came out recently that does meter. It would make sense to look for this one. It's a good lens, wider than the Nikon 10.5mm, but soft wide open.

get the bower/samayang/etc. one.

I have it and it's great. there's no reason to spend the money for AF on a fisheye, the only benefit of the other lenses is that they are a little sharper wide open and they are faster.

*Ideally

Many companies sell shit for twice the price of quality products. However I would take this with a grain of salt; said companies require a bit of homework to distinguish.

Its kind of a gamble, they are really inconsistent. Mine is great, but my friend just bought one and its just terrible, even at f/11.
Make sure you get a warranty or a good return policy

Sigma 10-20 is an UWA not a fisheye. The Sigma 10 and 15 fisheyes are one of the best ones I have seen/used. The Nikon 10.5 is pretty good as well!
