Which car is better

i havent driven an m3 in snow or ridden in one in snow, but someone i know who owns one said he just bought really nice winter tires and it did pretty good. some people are just pussy's when it comes to driving in snow, my dad drove a 81? mercedes sel with 10 year old pretty much bald tires in the snow, all the time he would have to haul ass through the neighborhood to make it up this like 50ft long like 3 degrees slope and he never complained. just dont be a pussy, get the m3 and learn to drive it in the snow.

my dad drives an 83 300sd mercedes. its amazing fun in winter because its so heavy, and the rear tires just spin the car around. good times

GLI GLI GLI

m3 is too old, if you wanna spend way more on repairs every year than you spent on the whole car get the m3. If you want a car that should be pretty reliable atleast for a few more years, just as much fun to drive, and slightly cheaper to fix if you hit something (although not much cheaper) then get the GLI, they are so dope. Old beemers are fun if you are really into cars and can work on them yourself or if you're super loaded. I haven't driven either, but I've ridden in both and GLI is way better than the older m3.

I don't think I'd go that far. If the VW is fwd like I think it is then the only way it could be fun to drive is if you enjoy understeering around every corner. The M3 is one of the ultimate driving cars, and there is no way any fwd car can even come close to being as fun and balanced.

no way, the m3 has like 70,000 miles, it will go till like 150 before having problems, the m3 is pretty new anyway, and vw's are known for having problems. the m3 is definatly gonna be more reliable

if ur going by looks i would get a bmw because its a bmw but in this case a jetta because its only a year old

that BMW is NASTY man that shits the best add a nice body kit to it some nice 17's and rock that shit and dont forget the system M3's are DIRTY

hahahahahaha

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Maybe he should get a 7" exhaust tip, a hood scoop, some vinyl decals, a massive wing, and nitrous while he's at it!

howabout a tastefull bodykit put out by such companies as Hamann, AC schnitzer, or Racing Dynamics. That is matched nicley to the color of the car and so on.

Racing dynamics:

Hamann (yes it is definatly close to ricer):

actually, that kinda true. those are normal 3 series, not m3s. although I still really like the Racing dynamics one. The ACS one doenst seem all that sporty, but it is styleish.

probably the smartest choice financially (well, until the warrenty is done). Its a pretty nice looking car. love the BBS!

my brother had an m3 not dinan but its easier to keep my car and im only going to have a car till next july. better in winter with the gli

not with stock tires. i tried to drive my dads 96 328 when snowed last year, and it would fishtale if i tried to accelerate at all uphill. im sorry but fat wheels, rwd and a non-locking differential dont make for a good snow car. on the other hand it still drives so fucking nice for a 10 year old car and the only thing that has had to be replaced on it since it was new was 1clutch, rear tires, and brakes.

i love bimmers. they feel so nice mechanically and handle like a dream.
