I’ve saved up some dough and i’m looking at Them 909’s and USD aeon 60’s. I ride mostly street so i like being able to cruise around and go fast but still need a wide h block. If you’ve ridden either please share thoughts on what you think of them

909s are really really good. Very high quality, and a very good "all-rounder" skate, especially with the frame it comes with. They also work wonderfully with Intuitions. If they fit you, they're a no brainer imo

The Aeons are the gold standard skate for beginners and vert skaters with their idiot proof groove and power transfer but I personally do really like the ability to swap frames. UFS frames are also catching up with some very nice grooves. With that said, they're probably better for the style of skating you're describing. I'd even consider the Aeon 68 or 72 if you really want to zoom

What ski boots do you wear? If you have a narrow foot Roces M12s or Razors Cults are great skates and can be had super cheap too. Roces is better quality but both are good. If your foot is wider then I second the Blank recommendation, Rollerblade makes very high quality stuff.

Make sure you read up on shell sizing before you buy as skates fit weird compared to ski boots.

currently own cults but i’m ready to step it up, they are also pretty slow so i’m thinking aeon 60/68’s. love my cults though, perfect for short rides/ sessions on my pvc rail

Sounds like you’re more in need of a good flat setup than new skates. Aeons are a great option if you want them, but a good flat frame like symetrics or entente diridari and some new wheels will be just as fast

i’ve kind of been eyeing oysi frames, do you think they’d be worth it over the ones you mentioned?

Oysis are supposed to be great too yeah. A little harder to buy wheels for but probably even easier to grind on than the other options. I think 50/50 and Mushroom Blading make wheels in the right sizes for Oysi
