Wheres the snow in Calif

With the lack of rain in Calif where are people skiing in the state? I am in So Cal and ski in Big Bear at Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. They have done a good job with making snow when they can. If it keeps getting warmer they won be able to keep it up.

How are the other resorts doing like Mammoth and Tahoe?

Is it worth traveling to those locations?

Should we just take the time to drive to Utah?

Northstar has the best skiing in tahoe. probably in the whole basin. hurts so bad saying that...

the park is pretty damn solid for any park, but the rest of the mountain is mostly east coast manmade groomers with 'packed powder' ranging to ice. off trail stuff is snow-coated logs, stumps, rocks, dirt, trees, bushes, and bike park jumps.

alpine and squaw are a mess :(. mostly shitty groomers with exposed above treeline looking like june or july snowpack. alpine is the best bet of the two currently and is the only one with at least some rails you can hit mid lap. park features at squaw are nonexistent.

going to Utah later tonight, in fact.

Need more snow still at Bear. Sierra Nevada's are supposedly getting a lot of snow. Hopefully they'll be making a bunch of snow the next few days while its cold.
