Where would you rather work? Ferrari or Aston Martin?

Disgusting Italian lime green is no match for the classy British racing green.

getting a job in the automotive industry, let alone motorsport, is like my dream job as a mech engineer. you hit it big, good for you! congrats

How do you feel about your choice? I was thinking about this thread the other day.. nicest car thats come in?

there is a mclaren mp4 here. that is pretty snazzy. otherwise we have a brand new off white vantage v12 S that is beyond sex.

atleast 7 ferrari ranging from 355 to 430 scuderia. 4 lambos around right now murc, murc convert, gallardo x 2.

lots of bentleys / astons. in various ages and models.

there is a vintage alfa here right now.

There is that pantera that is in that picture, that white fellow on the hoist.

there is some sort of v8 spyker as well.

no shortage of super cars.

Holy hell you have good eye candy for your everyday working!

Out of curiosity, did Ferrari ever get back to you about anything or did you email them before they did?

I never really followed up on ferrari. I felt for long term options and stability Aston was a better choice.

The biggest factor that drove me away from ferrari was the fact when i went for my interview they had no one working in the shop, which is scary for a tech since they really indicates it slows right down to a halt at times which could spell lay offs.

Aston is quite a bit busier so it means a tad more security in a job. I still have the chance to work on ferrari through my shop later down the line if need be.

So i thought i would chime in with an update on this. I took the job at Aston as previously stated but we have many ferrari and lambos at our store along with some oddball things like Pantera/ Mclaren etc etc. Our Ferrari tech left the company and I have been slotted in to fill his shoes.... so it really turned out as best case scenario.

I have HUGE shoes to fill as this guy was a savant in the ways of Italian cars but hopefully I can achieve some great things.

Here is a picture of some of the light reading I will be doing this weekend.

and here is a bonus shot of the car on my hoist right now at work.

Is it the C8? Oh wait it has to be, because they never made anything else besides that and some wicked prototypes.

Quite a rare thing, always felt that it was a car you wear rather then drive, every time I've seen one they just did a slow crawl down a boulevard which felt appropriate. I've sat in one multiple times and the exterior and interior are exquisite and it feels like you are shitting in an Hermes bag, but how does it look under the bonnet, since the company has always had a shady vibe, not in the least because of their owner.

I knew I remembered H8CH from somewhere, he made the thread a while back about salaries/career growth. Alot of stuff in that thread stuck with me, funny how ns can come full circle and you see how hard work and financial savvy can result in buying a supercar
