Where would you be without skiing?

I nearly grew up in Elko, Nevada, home to legal prostitution and numerous sketchy gold mining operations. Right in the middle of rural Nevada, three hours from Tahoe and three hours from Salt Lake.

So I've been thinking... skiing would not likely have been a viable hobby. What would I be doing right now if I hadn't discovered skiing?

Would I be a model train enthusiast? Glue sniffer? Professional Pokemon Go-er?

It's crazy to think all the variables worked out in the way they did and I was able to find something this cool to dedicate my time to.

So NS, what would you be blowing all your money on if you hadn't found out you could get corked on a pair of wooden slidey sticks?
 
I'd probably be a complete wreck, maybe dead. Having a hobby like skiing has saved me from anxiety and rough times at school. I hated my life around 7th-8th grade, and that's right around when I got serious about the sport and bought some skis. It scares me to think about the path I may have chosen instead.
 
I woulda gone to school in the south, prolly WVU or UNC. Got a bangin hot girlfriend on my way to medschool. Right now I'd be in my 3rd year and she'd be a complete bitch but still super hot. Wife her up next year and be rich as fuck. Not happy tho.

This. Looking back I honestly couldn't say where I would be. Haveing a creative outlet to focus on has helped a lot with school.
 
I would have a lot more money an good knees maybe have a girlfriend to hahaha butttt i prefer to be broke always limping an girlfriendless chicks are for fags
 
Most likely it would have been

A: Stuck with soccer/crew, got really good grades, etc. The typical successful student athlete.

Or B: Befriend the degenerates, became a huge pothead, start skating, got arrested a few times, etc.
 
I would probably have become a degenerate pot head who spends too much time on the Internet.

The reason I considered becoming a trucker was to get paid while traveling around the country and meet open minded people who aren't afraid to step outside the city they grew up in. That and Burt Reynolds makes running illegal goods looks fun.

But no. Let's be pessimistic nhere like Minng. There's the 33% chance that if I would of became a trucker I would of also could of become a serial rapist.
