Where to mount my new rockers for my style??

I was looking for some advice on where to mount on my new skis.

SKi: K2 2012 Obsethed 189 length

Binding: Rossignol Axial2 140 XXL

Background:

Just picked up this set for this winter. Really excited to play in the rocker revolution!! . My previous ski is a Volkyl Karma 2005 length 177 / Look P12 ( Had always wished I got the 185, but it was sold out ) . I am a advanced/expert skier, 6'3" 215lbs. 38 year old male, aggresive hard charger style. I dont have much park experience, ( I grew up when park was for boards, and I'd rather land in powder to soften the impact of airs. ) My park riding is : 1. learning rails. 2. intermidiate at boxes. 3. Love mid sized airs-

I have never personally ridden the Obsetheds but a guy I rode with all winter had his mounted at recommended he rode everything groomer,bc,inbounds pow runs and park laps and he never considered remounting. Sorry but that's the best I can offer although I'm sure some other guys on here can offer some firsthand advice.

Also nice choice on the binders, used axial2s all season on my pow boards worked really well never had any problems getting them on in deep snow.

Thanks for the info Joey! Appreciate it. I had such a hard time buying the axial 2. I have been on a look pivot 12 for the past 7 years and feel they are awesome. I had planned on the P18, ( for $308 on Evo) but I found the axial2 140 XXL for $171 total !! Price made my decision! Not to mention I picked up the obsethed for $399 total! Always looking fo ra bargain!! Did your buddy ride the bumps with the obsethed a bunch too? When I will be vacationing with these, weather is unpredictable, so if the stashes are all eatin up, I turn to endless bump runs!! I tend to analize and break down every decision way too much... Since my purchase, I am second guessing if the obsethed is too fat for my everyday use at 117 underfoot!! I passed on the Volkyl Gotama and Line Influence 105, again, sorta final decision was made by the greeat purchase price of $399!!

This is the Blister review of this 11-12 season's Obsetheds, the skis tested were mounted at reccomended, at the end is does mention an update with obsethed being mounted +reccomended,I did search bar the site but couldn't find the update. I would link you but I am currently on mobile and will be for the next week so I'll have to just give you the address. Secondly I wouldn't worry about Obsetheds being too big for everday I ride twin rockered 120 underfoot skis and ally have no complaints.

Thanks for the link to the great review! Secured my feelings on my new ski. I think I will stick with my idea of goin +1.5 from traditional... will stay back far enough for the pow and crud and give a little more snap and quickness for tight manuevers like bumps! I am strong and aggressive and confident I can still enjoy these in bumped up terrrain. Side note: I just joined NS and have found this forum to be incredible!! Great site and way to keep us all in the loop together! Hope to make some new frieds here!!

I know I will be at Mary Jane, CO January 25th weekend if anyones looking for a partner to bomb the Challenger liftt all day!!!!

Just picked up a pair of 11-12s myself. Im going to mount them at around +3.5. Seth mounts them at +4 and Pettit mounted them at +7. hope that helps a little.

Thanks for the tip Vinny, Yes Seth told me he mounts at +4, and hes a hard agrressive mix with freestylye.... But hes a worthy pro who can make his skis do anything! I will not freestyle nearly as much nor at the level of Petit!! But I am looking forward to progressing in more freestyle terrain! Where are you mounting at? whats your ability, style, park or off piste? are these your everyday drivers or pow skis?

gonna be riding them in Utah as an almost strictly PoW ski. ill be skiing switch a good amount though so I figured I would mount a little forward especially because ill be riding the 189s so im not gonna sacrifice any float by mounting them forward

Thanks Vinny! Trying myself to make it back to LCC this season. If I do maybe Ill share a tram with you. Otherwise may look to head out to PNW to Crystal and the Cascades!
