Where to live...?

Graduating in the spring and thinking about moving, not sure exactly what kind of job I want yet...i'm a physics major. Anyways, I need a decent sized city that has a lot of job opportunities but I also want to be near a decent ski mountain after living on the east coast my whole life, and also want to be by the water in the summer (lakes?). Places i was considering were Denver, Portland, and Salt Lake City.

Any info about these places or other suggestions? Anyone with useful info +k, thanks.
