Where to live/ski in NZ? +k

So I just got into QT the other day and am trying to quickly figure out where to live and ski for the season.
QT has been super fun in just these few days but super commercial whereas wanaka seems like it will have a chiller ski vibe. Day to day, I'm just looking for a good park scene and a good scene in general. Just looking for some feedback on what place/hill to go for...
1. live in qt and ski remarks2. live in wanaka and ski - snowpark - tc - cardrona
Any help is much appreciated.

you summed it up perfectly. if you want the tourist/lots of people scene go for queenstown. but if you want a chill place wanaka is your best bet. and it has a better selection of slopes.

Ah given that I'll probably end up in wanaka..
So out of snowpark, tc and cardrona, what's gonna be the best for park and cruising/jibbing around, maybe some hiking every now and again? can't decide...

snowpark no doubt for park stuff. but for cruising around/hiking it would be a hard choice between tc and cardies.

tc had almost twice the amount of ski able area than cardies, so lots of variation, and it has a much lower capacity than cardrona, so it will be far less crowded. it also has more black runs. the only thing cardrona has over tc imo is that it has a few considerably long runs (one of them is about 11,000 feet). all in all though, i would pick tc.

If you want one mountain to do it all go for Cardrona, it has an alright park and some good terrain.

Remarks is ok but it's a pretty dated field with old facilities and slow lifts and the pass is pretty much a rip off this year compared to what you get at Cardrona.

I'd say live in Wanaka and get a Cardies pass. Then do day trips to TC and Remarks when they have new snow and go to Snow Park if you want some park only days
