Where to go skiing?

So I know that horseshoe valley is open, and Ive heard rumours that MSLM will be opening on the 30th. Me and my brother are planning a little roadtrip down from Sudbury to go riding for a day. It would most likely be a Saturday, probably the 1st or the 8th-not sure yet.

Im mostly wondering, where to go? Should I got to MSLM or go to Horseshoe? I dont really care about riding park right now, I just want to get out skiing. I guess if they have a few rails up thats a bonus.

Dag should be going by then as well....cheaper and theres a very good chance they will have set up a lot of things alreaddy for my it cheaper and closer .....but if you wanna jsut ski go to mslm
 
Isnt dagmar in whitby? Thats ALOT further than MSLM.

Its about 3 hours to MSLM for me, and just over 3 1/2 to horseshoe.
 
oh yah sry i was thinking from where i live in Toronto, in that case MSLM should be a great choice for you
 
i could easily being wrong i nver drive buit from what i observe.... it takes 45 mins to get to dag and 1 45 to get to mslm, so i kinda douby it being 15 mins apart
 
Yeah, they arent that far appart, seeing how you can see horseshoe from the top of louis.

Anyways, it will be on the 8th for sure. Do you figure the hill will still be decent then? Im most likely going to go to MSLM.

Lastly, does anyone think that loius might have a few rails and a little table set up by then?
 
yeah sorry bout that, if your choosing between mslm and horseshoe, the skiing will be better at mslm(bigger hill, more dedicated staff to getting snow on the moutain) and better for park(will have more things set up) than horseshoe, in my experience the park and hills at horseshoe aren't very exciting, but thats just my opinion
 
You sure, last year I went on Janyary the 17th with my school, and the outback was still being blown on, and all they had was a mini park up...

i think im gonna go up to mslm this weekend (if its open). so keep the updates coming to see if its gonna be open
 
the mslm mini park is pretty much better than most NORMAL parks in ontario (as in parks at resorts that dont really dedicate much time and $ to their park.), whenever they get new things for the outback (big park) they tend to put the old stuff in the 'mini' park.
 
K, ill be there on sunday, as there is a railjam here on saturday.

Can anyone let me know what I would expect to see, as in how many rins/lifts open, and whats set up in the park?
 
they have 13 runs open now...but for the weekend they'll probably open some more..so maybe 18 or something
 
moonstone will prob be open by the weekend, but no outback, butthe junk yard will probably be better then last weekend
