Aye I’m going to visit my friends out in boulder for 5 or 6 days, which mountains should I check out? (On ikon) is it worth driving all the way out to steamboat, aspen snow mass or should I just stick to eldora and maybe check out copper for a day?

Eldora if you want steep and deep while avoiding the weekend crowds

Steep and deep at eldora? haha

OP you should for sure go to Aspen for a day or two.

Lol, i thought the same.

OP, not positive about all the Ikon pass mountains specifically, but, A Basin, Loveland, Winter Park, Copper, Aspen Highlands or Snowmass are all fun and a lot less crowded than Vail, Breck, Keystone.

Just got back from CO. Skied Winter Park, Copper, Snowmass, A Basin and Steamboat. Mary Jane at wp is a fucking blast when the snow is good. ABay was a bit low tide, and went to copper for the afternoon. Copper gets skied out fast but parks are A1. Def would recommend making it to Aspen, especially on the weekend cause fuck i70 and fuck crowds.

Eisenhower tunnel gets closed intermittently with a stop light if traffic gets bad for safety reasons (2 lanes, no shoulder), at its worst when snowing during weekend traffic. Took me about 5.5 hours to drive like 23 miles from Winter Park to my friends place in Silverthorne one time.

If I only got like 2 days 1 night to go to one of them, which would you pick?

Well depends on the day and what type of skiing you like. People seem to not even ski trees at Snowmass and finding powder was real easy, so if you want really good powder and park skiing go there. Brought my own food to the mountain and passed like two dine in restaurants on the mountain before finding a lodge to eat... Copper had microwaves in the lodge by the top of the chair/gondola hybrid thing.

Aspen can be done cheap if you stay down valley. The vibe isn't as chill as Copper but the skiing is really good. Can't go wrong in Aspen, well unless you go to buttermilk.
