Where to get gear in SO CAL

anyone know of any place to get ski gear, more specifically boots, in san diego area?

or am i really gonna have to drive 3 hours or more to try on ski boots.
 
There's a place in El Toro called cbs boardshop that sells Rossi, Atomic, and Salomon but I dont know how good there selection. If Im not mistaken I think they sell everytihng at half of the retail price as well but heres the website if you want to contact them

Didn't mean to be short or insinuate that you didn't support the local shops. I would definitely recommend driving to bear and buying from getboards, great shop. If you time it right you could go up purchase your gear and go to the hot dogs and hand rails contest this Sept 24. Would be a pretty legit combo yea?
 
yea, i was kinda thinking that. cuz i'm planning on going to that...

havent looked into yet. but if you have to buy your pass in person, then, i'll do that too..
 
If you want to get your boots fitted by a professional go to ski net sport in studio city. My past two pair of boots are from him and my girlfriend's boots were purchased from him also. He is more expensive then other shops because he requires you to have custom orthotics in your boots to purchase from him. He guarantees his work and if there is a problem he will make as many free adjustments as needed. You need to make an appointment to have him help you, do not just show up at his shop because he will not fit you. It is worth it to see him. When I first got boots from him i lived down in southern California. Now i live in mammoth and I will travel 5 hours to get him to do my boots again.
 
Santa Monica Ski & Sport is a great shop and they are the only place in LA I've found that sells Full Tilts if you are in to that sort of thing.
