Where to find a bootfitter?

Does anyone know where to find a good bootfitter? All my local shops have no idea what I'm talking about when I ask them about it. Oh yeah, I live in Orem (it's right next to Provo).

Park's Sportsman is in Orem I think. They are the best south of SLC. Sports Dens in SLC is always a good bet, But John Faig (has office in Snowbird Rec Center off Wasatch) and Earl at Sportloft (off Highland Drive) are really pros all the way. Surefoot is good, but Im not a huge fan of their footbeds.

best in Utah is, I forget the names, but anyone at Deep Powder House at Alta, wildcat base. Or go to Christy's Sports at Snowbird, and ask for Stevel Borland, one of the best fitters on the west coast. both won't start fitting for a couple weeks still.

Haha, I live like 5 minutes from Park's Sportsman. Whenever I ask about bootfitting to anyone, they are like " You can step on that thing and we'll see what size will fit you best". An Asian guy started staring at me like he wanted to kill me after I asked him about it too( sorry if you're on the site, but you kinda freaked me out). I would go to Surefit, but they open at the beginning of the season I've heard.

AGAIN, GO TO SUREFOOT. THEY ARE THE BEST. PERIOD. YOU HAVE TO GET FOOTBEDS THOUGH TO MAKE IT WORTH WHILE

Ya I have no personal experience with Parks as far as bootfitting goes, I jst knew they were close to you and they do have some knowledgeable guys there. Souds like you just happened upon some knuckleheads there.

Anywho, I stand by my other reccomendations, but shit, its your call. Theres dofuses at alot of shops, so its as much about which individual does your stuff as what shop.

What kinda bootfitting do you need anyway? shit, its not worth paying a ton if your in a mediocre boot and just need some shims or something anyway...

'dude' at colesports in PC is the best bootfitter in Utah hands down. I have had surefoot and dude's footbeds are better.

The nice thing about surefoot is that if you are under 18 they used to have a deal where they would replace your footbed for free till you turned 18 which is nice since your feet grow a lot during these times.

But dude does a great job, honestly.

i believe that is all you have to do, but i would go to surefoot and talk to kevin i believe it is... either way they are both good, i just personaly think that surefoots footbeds are the best that you can get.

hahahah

gotta fuel the fire some more

If you really want the BEST footbeds, you gotta go up to Ketchum ID and see Brent or Ben at Ski Tek

This is what what I have, in addition to orthotics for my shoes. They made a plaster mold of my foot then built a 5 layer cork laminate footbed to it. Ridiculously good footbeds

Either them, or see Bob Gleason at the Bootdoctors in Telluride. He is the man and trains bootfitters everywhere at Masterfit university. He did a really nice punch on my plugs too.

Ok, I take back almost everything I said about parks. I went there today and they do have a footbeds and bootfitting guy. Thanks everyone for your inpute.
