If you set yourself up an Aramex Shop and Ship account ($45 for a lifetime subscription) you can buy from pretty much any online shop in the world and then you just pay the shipping cost to get the stuff to you. The shipping rates are reasonable (much cheaper than online store charges) and if you buy from the US the dollar exchange rate usually means you save on the cost of the skis compared to the € price anyway.
I did this because I live in the Middle East and getting gear out here is almost impossible. I bought my husband a snowboard from Evo in the US. In the UK it was £350 and they wanted £150 to ship. Through Evo the board was $379, free shipping within the US to my Aramex address and then it cost me an additional £60 to get it to the Middle East. Saved me over £200. I'm gonna do the same with skis this year.
