Where should I buy a pass?

Ok guys here's the deal. I just moved into res at BCIT and I'll be here for 6 months before moving back up to Whistler.

My question to you is where should I buy my pass? I'll be skiing mostly week nights/afternoons and probably a couple weekends when I can't make it to Whis.

I have a car so transportation isn't really an issue. I'm just looking for the best park with the best vibe/ group of skiers to ride with because I hate skiing alone.

So if you would be so kind as to post any local insight you have it would be greatly appreciated.

Grouse is good, passes aren't on sale anymore so they're not worth it. Seymour should be awesome this year with the new chair going in. Only get Cypress if you don't give a single fuck about park. Even then Seymour is better. Get Seymour fuck!!! wat

Grouse can be really good, especially when the cut jump line is open. Cypress looks like their park might be a lot better this year (atleast thats what they're saying) (they're opening a whole new area for park) and their silver pass is a good deal if you're not going up weekends or holidays. And i think seymour is pretty good, I just havent been there enough to get a good opinion of it

Decided just to stick with the Whis pass.

Does seymour or grouse have like 10 dollar friday nights or something like that?

i tried to convince them i had a vagina because the pants i was wearing were far too tight to fit a penis..... didnt work

looking into a pass somewhere too around here - just moved down here. whats the issue with cypress? just not much of park? i dont ride all that much park, i come from skiing whitewater so im all about natural terrain. seeing if i can weasel my way into getting whistler pass but if i cant im looking for something..

Cypress would be your best bet for natural terrain. But i also think it is the most expensive, I don't actually personally know anybody who rides cypress regularly.

seymour does have some fun terrain but like you said you gotta hike for it. If lift access terrain is what you want then cypress is your mountain

As a student living in the middle of North Van, I opted for an earlybird Seymour pass ($230) and an earlybird Whistler student pass ($580).

I've yet to ski Grouse nor Cypress so I can't give any comparison. I liked Seymour's park setup last year (which I'm told is usually the best in the Van area) and so I'm sticking to them again this year. The new chairlift is also a big bonus.
