Broken arm/ compressed radial nerve in elbow = surgery yesterday. Luckily surgery means not being out too long.

Day after surgery always kills though...

Have any good comedy movies to recommend?

Anyone else lucky with pre-season injuries? Share em! Haven't gotten seriously hurt in a couple years so not bumming too hard...

Last year my buddy and I were longboarding when he decided it would be a good idea to loosen up his trucks. And I mean really loose. Long story short we bombed a sketch hill. I was lucky enough to bail out before speed wobble got the best of me. My friend one the other hand went straight into the side of the road, fell down a pretty big drop into a creek, and broke his collar bone in half.

Pics later.

fibula fracture about six weeks ago. i get the cast of in 6 days thank god. it literally ruined my fall semester but thats what i get for trying to front flip of my porch. if i new how to embed i would post up the video of my breaking my leg and the gnarly scar. maybe later today ill figure it out

SOUNDS LIKE YA FUCKED UP GOOD.

I'M IN PERFECTLY GOOD HEALTH AND WILL SKI AS SOON AS THE SNOW ARRIVES.

HAVE A NICE DAY.

hahaha

but OP you asked for comedy movies... you should just hit up netflix on your laptop, plenty of good shit to keep you entertained for a looong time. if you dont have a membership ask one of your bros for their password, doesnt hurt them

not that extreme, but dislocated my left knee saturday morning. this is the 2nd time (same knee). the last time was during tennis back in may. I am really hoping it will not affect my skiing or do it again. if i keep doing it, the ligaments will stay stretched out (BAD).

I wouldn't do surgery on PF... I've had that my whole life and still won't. I've heard horror stories of it getting 10x worse. Have you tried ultrasound to break up the scar tissue + PT yet?

Tore my meniscus playing soccer for school... I don't need surgery until it tears more soo I'm taking it easy for a while, or at least until ski season starts!

Really messed up my leg doing cork 7's on my friend's ghetto tramp. Broken fibula in 2 places. fractured tibula. dislocated ankle and completely tore every ligament. Doc says I'll be lucky if I can ski this season. feelsbadman

Took my bandages off today for a look-see when I wasn't completely doped. Overall it looks good. Still being effed up on Oxycodone and Benadryl = not so good. (Benadryl is for the mad all-over body itching that pain killers give me.)

This thread needs more pics of said injuries... come on dudes!

I have to take benadryl when I'm on painkillers too, one time I forgot to take it with percocet before an MRI. Yeah it sucked, couldn't itch for half an hour.

Ahhh yeah I hear you. Sorry to hear that. I definitely know the pain... mine is constant but I've had it since elementary school and unless you feel it you have no idea how bad it hurts. Hopefully you have a good surgeon and everything works out. Good luck!!!

got stress fractures in three of my metatarsals, have had them for a while now and don't have the time to give them enough rest to heal completely. oh well.

i had surgery on my shoulder yesterday, cause it keeps getting dislocated all the time. seriously, if i sneezed o hard it would pop out. I don have a camera so i can't post any pictures, but all there is to see is my shoulder wrapped in a lot of bandages.

dislocated my thumb for the very first time, had to pop it back in, was quite cool but still hurts like hell and i'm afraid i'll dislocate it again when i fall on it ....

This. The last 9 months I have Dislocated /subluxed my shoulder at least 5 times. It just keeps getting easier and easier to do it. I have been doin PT for a good few months but that doesn't promise anything. I also got a brace but when i take my firs big hit this season I doubt my arm will be in its socket after. I'm hoping to be able to ski just as hard and make it through the season but two things will happen:

1.) I ski like a pussy and make it through the season

or

2.) I go too hard and pop it out multiple times resulting in mid-season surgery

:( /pity

this. its like someone is taking your tendens and ligaments and pulled them as hard as they can

So wait... does it still hurt like a bitch every time? I'd just think that after a while your shit is so lose (twss) that it's like "Oh, meh..." (Not sayin it's not bad cuz that SUCKS but just curious...)

friend tore up his leg playing soccer, almost had to amputate. Multiple surgeries and has be in hospital for weeks not sure if he has gained feeling in his foot yet ... wont ski and probably wont make lacrosse in the spring

yeah bro. i feel ya. mine looked the exact same. i was luckily able to push/slide it right back in the socket. I would be freaking out if i couldnt get it back in place! damn. I had no problems both times i did mine (same knee)

i feel ya man. i broke my collar bone the first day of ski season. luckily its a quick recovery

oh shit dude.

the first time was during tennis and i jumped up then landed wrong. so i just collapsed to the ground and saw it was out. popped it back myself. Figured im already in pain, why wait to put it back? and second time i dont think i dislocated it fully but it definately rolled out at least half way and went right back. it still hurt like hell with ligaments being stretched.
