Where is Jib-Life?

Damn, i was just thinking about this haha, they haven't updated their site since september so i'm not sure whats going on :(
 
i dont think its going to be done for quite a while, but check out the jib-life cult. it tells you all you need to know.

I searched everywhere for it, Googled it for that article in the NEWS section, where that interview was and its gone... Jib life cult is also gone... I am starting to believe it is a lost cause

i was wondering the same thing. researched it a few weeks ago and saw no progression at all, seems like it just stopped.hopefully im wrong
 
We should start a newschoolers fund for it, like if every NSer gave at least 1 dollar we would have.. a fuck ton. How many people are regular NSers. 5000?
 
Shits going to suck even if it does get made... To have the skiing game NSers want, you'd need a proper game production company making this for consoles, not some people sitting in a basement making some Jibberish knockoff.

Shits not going to happen unless skiing becomes as popular as skateboarding... which it wont, ever.
 
they've been working on it for 8 years. i understand it's supposed to be amazing and whatnot but i have high doubts that it will come out
 
What you guys don't realize about this game is that it is really hard to keep up wth the speed that the sport is growing. As fast as the sport is progressing it is almost impossible to keep up. And seeingthat they don't have a major staff like ea working on it even if the worked all summer they would not be able to get it done. But I do agree that there is a reason to have low optimism. Just letting you guys know, coding video games is hard as fuck. So let it go. Let them have time. Peace
 
What the fuck are you talking about? Progression of the sport has nothing to do with this... Have you ever coded a real 3D game (in c++ or any other language)? There is so much more to do than, lets say, add the possibility of an additional 180 degree while double corking because TJ id a 16 Dub Cork... Did they even code the basic physics for the skier? This as nothing to do with the progression of the sport, if they had alreay coded it, they would have updated their website with pictures of the testing...
 
every couple of months a thread like this pops up and the general consensus is it's not coming out for a very long time. The best thing to do is not get your hopes up
 
yeah i was pumped now i sorta just forgot about it, there is a new online ski gamne called youski or something its pretty sick
 
i kinda have a feeling its gonna turn out too cartoonish and become another version of SSX...

In like 3 years (random guess) we've got a guy in a T-shirt with jiblife written on it and a random chick.

Something tells me a computer game isn't about to come out anytime soon.

well how far is this game? if they have the basic code and structure of the game set up maybe someone like EA could pick it up. a buch of us here on NS should email someone from EA about it and just constantly bug them about it. I'm sure they would make money off of it after all the x games hype

back to what i said though. someone said they probably don't have much coded as they haven't even shown test screens. your definitaly right about that but someone should try to find out if it would be possible for some game company to pick it up. if someone knew someone that worked for EA maybe he could hook Jib-Life up. I mean come on guys here on NS we are all a community that should be able to work together for what they want to see. and hey if we want to see a legit ski game come out why shouldn't we try and all help?
